They didn't show anything new, but oof, those comments.
Man, this looks a little too rough around the edges. Weird, unfinished and nonsensical animations, no real feel and atmosphere (esp. sound). If this is supposed to represent the end product, I'd gladly wait an extra year for the release. The first was no technical miracle by any means but was acceptable for the time. This however rips me out of the immersion which is THE reason I'm excited for this game.
VTMB2 playable in 2029 after the modders patch everything...
Dude jumps off of a building into the alley that's not so bad, but he runs up a building in clear view of a street... do the makers of this game know the Masqurade is?
Please, delay the game. You need to work on that ambiance. Sounds, animations. Even the textures and lighting could use more polish. Please.

They also released RTX trailer
And they used unused soundtrack from VtMB1, god, i have less and less hopes to hear new music in this game. Like, first game took place in late 90's-early 00's, it was almost 20 years ago. There will not be the same atmosphere, basically because it's a different time with different problems.

Naive peeps, who think they'll delay the game. They already took a lot of $$$ for pre-orders, they will publish it half-baked, and maybe patch it later.

Also Paradox releases a lot of text material about a game (at least in russian community). They didn't told about anything new, just watered down talks about clans and disciplines.

This demo is hilarious, is the player deliberately going as slow as possible just to torment me? Usually these demos are terribly fake and stilted and don't look like a real person playing at all but this is on a whole other level.
11:35 in he arrives at this orange barrier and stands there in a fucking stupor for an entire 30 seconds before finally vaulting it, sprinting for just a moment before returning immediately to crawling forward inch by inch. Is this a fucking joke? Have I been had?
This fucker's head looks like it disappears from his shoulders when he's punched, it just snaps back in a single frame, these animations are SHOCKING.

I went to a random bit of gameplay and yeah, the animation's aren't great, those punching animations remind me of amateur Garry's mod machinimas. Granted from the few seconds I watched the game doesn't look terrible, with good animations it would be solid, however can't comment on the gameplay itself, watched too little and I've never played Bloodlines. But that videos really reminds of why I didn't get all the hype around it, the devs are mostly unproven and Paradox is pretty notorious for shipping games half baked and fixing them later with DLC, it seems obvious to me that's what's going to happen here.

I think the facial animation is serviceable but it is really bad how the quest givers/NPC's that talk act like their feet are glued to the ground and they can only move their upper body making it so that their body movement/language is nothing but arm movements and constantly dipping forward in different ways. I've seen 1½ characters and it is already bugging me, I would go insane if I was playing the game.

The player character is locked into position when talking to the NPCs so they should be able to move around a bit without getting blocked.

So are we still in prealpha mode or are we further in development. Because if it's the former, I'll just note that they still have time to fix it. Don't get me wrong, they're going to screw this up due to this project being too much for them. But I'm throwing them a bone until we get closer to the release date.

The game is meant to come out in the first quarter of next year, 6 months really isn't that much time to fix a game.

I can't understand why they haven't bring something new for a new demo. And imo thats why people are concerned about a game after last gameplay - nothing new so it looks like they haven't done anything. Like, i get that creating a demo can take a lot of time, but Bloodlines 2 is going to be a big deal for many players, since people l o v e first game. Of course fans will look at any trailer, teaser, gameplay, and care about quality of a game. Even if VtMB1 was a buggy mess, expectations for a second game are set high - and players expect not only a good story, characters and dialoges, but a good picture and gameplay.

Oh wow... they're fucked.
It's a Paradox Cash Grab TM.

They never stood a chance, even if they had more capable hires. This is honestly a redux of how Troika was treated: given a short development time, underfunded and no deadline extension.

They started to reveal fractions:
The Pioneers
Camarilla

Btw, Seattle's Prince is Alec Cross.
I don't have a degree in conspirology yet, but Cross = La Croix in french.
The descriptions are pretty cool, I like how the Camarilla has adapted to modern times and I like the idea of the Pioneers. The only question is how terrible they make the anarchs. They're a cool faction, but damn, you know that some people are itching to make them the obnoxiously leftist good guys of the game.

I'm happy they've made changes to V5 lore, so i hope anarchs will be ok. And i hope they'll add Sabbat, or what has left ot it.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see some weird Anarch-Sabbat Union. Seattle isn’t a bad place for something like that; considering it’s history of serial killers and places to stash bodies in the under city.

Considering that, if they don't include an ending where you flip them off while walking off, it'll make the endings fail to live up to the lone wolf ending of VTMB. That and make you question in whether or not they'll just be playing you as a pawn despite looking open to the player than the Camarilla.

Eh, either way I'm giving this one a hard pass.

Even if they don't fuck up the game itself, it's based on V5's version of the setting and lore, and I am not a fan of V5.

Yeah, I'm almost positive they're going to wokeify the anarchs and make them the Mary Sue heroes. You could already see inklings of that in the original Bloodlines. Strauss and possibly Bertram were pretty much the only reasonable Camarilla members, the rest painted basically as mustache twirling villains no different than the Sabbat.

I hate the Anarchs, except for Jack.

Ahah, I saw an interview with VtMB2 head of narrative, I believe. She told how Damsel was an awesome character and how different players saw her differently, but she is cool, because she is for revolution.
Not a single word that some may hate her
I hate Damsel

Oh Christ I couldn't stand that bitch just because she reminded me of almost every girl I had classes with in college, right down to the pissy attitude towards everyone and the Che Guevara hat while proclaiming themselves to be "totes left and free!"
