The thing about all that is, I don't care at all that some modder is misrepresenting that in a game the same way I wouldn't care if any other atrocity from anywhere else in the world is misrepresented or mocked in a video game because it's a fucking video game and it's not real and video games exist primarily to do unreal shit in made up unreal virtual environments. Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly care that Valve removed the shitty mod because Korea got mad either. I just find the idea of getting upset about things like that in video games to be stupid all around whoever's doing it. It just always helps reinforce my belief that large numbers of people can't distinguish between fiction and reality.

Disobeying a country's law is not based, it's just retarded. The only thing Valve would achieve by keeping this mod is to get banned in South Korea.
As long as the bans are made only for the country and it has no effect on other users, I see no fucking issue with this.

North Korea simulator could legit be a lot of fun. Basically see how long can your clown country last while dealing with the opposite clown country. Too lenient and you get killed by your schitzo sister, too hard and you get deposed by the military command.

There was a game where I was promised to farm potatoes, but it turned out to be one of those old clicker games. A proper NK 4x would be fun, like Tropico but with more gulag.
 
This seems like a big deal over nothing. Modding Mount and Blade is ridiculously easy. The game has a built in module system so all you have to do is download the mod file and drop it into the module folder before running the game. The script extender isnt necessary for all but the most intensive mods. You dont need Steam Workshop for any of this. For whatever reason Chinese people love to flood Workshop with shitpost mods and M&B is no exception.

The usual suspects are blindly championing this as a triumph over "bigots and fascists" which is very ironic.

Man, CS2 is littered with cheaters. Premier is damn unplayable with the amount of just aim-snapping fucktards buying accounts to troll. But people still play this garbage. Why? No fucking clue. They just do. When they tried to improve their anti-cheat, they started banning legits by accident.

Saying this feels like blasphemy but I think Valve is just straight up incompetent with their software development. They're not lazy. They legitimately can't improve their shit. All their smart engineers retired/went onto green pastures, and now they're left with retards. I mean, just look at the absolute state of CS2. Runs horrid for literally zero reason. Which is funny, since it's engine is based on a branch of Half-Life: Alyx, which, for a VR-game, was fairly optimized. Maybe there's two teams in Valve. One running their money printers, staffed by retards, and the one in charge of their more "vital" legacy like HL and P2, and that second team gets all the smart engineers.

Or maybe I'm coping hard with losing 10 premier matches in a row against aim-snappers. I guess you reap what you sow because I was doing the same thing back in CS:GO days.
