No, it's more like if I have a gun range that bans FMJ ammunition, and I have some kind of downrange FMJ detector, and when it detects you using FMJ ammo, it shuts down your station, and you are escorted off the premises. .
No they aren't. They're making a cheat device unusable for cheating. This is anticheat functioning as intended. Now Riot today is bricking people's computers
Valorant players don't own the Valorant servers. Bringing a cheat device violates the T&Cs.And you own the gun range. You are escorted off your own property.
Except the cheat device isn't actually destroyed! It just fails to bypass the anticheat, making it worthless. And then they set your property on fire.
Signed firmware actually does guarantee you're using a legitimate device. And there's no guarantee you were actually using the wrong ammo

No, they didn't.They didn't brick their own servers, they bricked your computer.
I know this is bait but, honestly this kind of a shit argument, the bridge wasn't built with the intention of bricking the truck. The anti-cheat software was built with the intention of bricking your pc.View attachment 9042372
I can't believe this bridge bricked my truck. Someone should start a class action lawsuit against this bridge. Who could have known this bridge was gonna brick my truck. Bridge designers should never have the power to brick my truck. etc etc.
Nobody's PC got bricked. The anti-cheat software was built with the intention of bricking your pc.
At this point, just have a rule where you can only play the game if Riot Games can send armed TSA agents to your house to inspect your PC's hardware.Riot Games ended up posting this tweet saying "congrats to the owners of a brand new $6k paperweight" which caused quite a stir on Twitter because it implies that Riot Games is actively bricking users hardware:
I don't like gaming companies fucking with my hardware. I didn't even know cheating programs came in physical hardware before I read this thread. As funny as it seeing cheaters get what they disserve it's still a company fucking with hardware, and I don't like that president or the slippery slope that it will cause. Next they will come after you for violating their TOS via saying anything remotely offensive.Nobody's PC got bricked.
This jive nigga was ragebaiting all over the place a few years back when Windows 11 came out, claiming there was nothing wrong with it. He's just taking the pro-Red Star OS position to piss people off.No they aren't. They're making a cheat device unusable for cheating. This is anticheat functioning as intended.
Then stop using Windows, because Windows has a variety of security features designed to prevent suspicious devices from doing things they shouldn't. In this case, Windows stopped allowing an unauthorized device trying to spoof itself as a different device in order to inject code directly into memory. This is a good thing. This is something Windows should do. Allowing things to pretend they are benign devices and then inject unauthorized code into running programs is extremely bad for obvious reasons.I don't like gaming companies fucking with my hardware. Dude calm down youre the reason devs use floating point integers so we cant add fucking currency to some slog of a game with cheat engine. fuck all the way off with your noise.inject unauthorized code into running programs is extremely bad for obvious reasons.
I find the whole situation absurd. Apparently cheating is so rampant, and profit margins are so fucking tight in Valorant, that this is considered an appropriate escalation, a low level hardware/firmware attack to get niggers to fuck off. I'm just saying, there has to be a better use of people's time than cheating in fucking Valorant. Like go outside. Play a decent game that doesn't rape you.
No, they didn't.
Windows recognized an unauthorized device and stopped allowing that device IO access. Everyone's computer continued working perfectly well. Their $6000 PCIe cheat device stopped being useable.
If only it were that simple. It bricked the device, and sounds like it even bricked connected pc too. That's RADICALLY different than just denying access. Also what's with this gay shifting blame to Windows??? Its a direct result of riot games software. Here's what happened:
