This is a fucking disaster, a culmination of every bat-shit green ideology over the last decade.

Donate to the UN Disaster Committee. Oh wait. No niggers.

I shall not powerlevel any further.

Genuinely curious. Please explain. Ah the dams. Yeah I hate greens a lot.

There are a few links for donations (I'll post some when I find the links), but don't donate to anything Red Cross related or themselves. They've been asking money, but so far they haven't even got there.

Donate to the volunteer groups or the official accounts of the cities that are trying to rebuild their cities. They are there, doing all the hard work.

IIRC the International Red Cross is fine, it's the American Red Cross that spends everything on personnel and more fundraising.

Saw this on the news, there are videos of people holding onto their cars as they're swept away by the current. The streets have been painted brown by all the mud, just look at this.

Stay safe, Iberian bros.

the city will never recover from this.
the whole spanish system is build on EU gibs and those are running low-
they could go back to the golden times when their system was build on sunshine. but they are way to entitled to allow people having fun.

Valencia has never been a tourist spot. That's further north and to the west in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, and even then joining the EU has been a net negative for Spain, as it's one of the countries which suffered the most from both a shared currency, the EU's agricultural regulations, and the various privatization programs of critical industries that the EU demanded from Spain

I was told this sort of thing occurred primarily on the Iberian flatlands.
That is where they say the rain in spain falls mainly.

Valencia used to flood regularly, until they built dozens of flood control dams and diverted the river Turia south of the town. The region has had at least one flood of this magnitude every century for the last 700 years, with dozens of smaller floods in between.

From what I understand the reason why Spain has to rely on tourism now is because we got rid of a lot of our secondary and primary sector during the 70s just during the crisis

Most Spaniards wish that wasn't the case. People are getting tired of living in a country that's been turned by greedy politicians into a chiringuito for the English and Germans to party in.

Im biased but I don't agree with calling Spaniards entitled. It's not the tourists the crux of the issue but rather the consequences of mass tourism and relying on such phenomena for carrying the economy. I think most people would agree with that, no matter how cranky they might be towards tourists.

Unrelated to your message but man all the comments in tiktoks about the situation talking about how it's payback for stealing Mexican gold n sheet god people are retarded. Worst of all some of them actually believe it

Also there's a lot of complains right now because the media are probably lying about the number of deaths. In addition to this, buses that were supposed to take volunteers into areas in need of help have taken them to literal malls to clean them, rather than to help clean streets or neighborhoods.

The overall de-industrialization of Europe hit the poorer European countries the worst as everything was sacrificed or let Germany and to a lesser extent, France, keep their industries and hit EU climate goals.

So now if you're not France, Germany, or a small banking cartel nation in Europe you're just a tourist trap country or a port city..... And that is IT.

Sad to see but a majority of Spaniards voted for this shit. And Italians, Portuguese, Greeks, and so on

those sectors were just not doing well and couldnt be saved

you need to make money in some way. tourism was the natural way.
the politicians just joined the EU to get alot more hand outs and build a whole economy on it.

So you dont want tourist and you dont want real work. so just handouts from the European union....

nobody cares about those goals, there arent even fines. they just couldnt compete in a global world.

thats not true, you can also be a factory for germany companies like alot of central europe.
southern europe is just poorer than northern europe and has pretty much always been,
you can see that best in Italy, the hard working people in the north had to feed the lazy southerners since the birth of their nation.

French firefighter left stunned by the fact
that the government has sent no help
even the lefties on german TV have started to shit on the spanish response.
sounds like they said no to almost 1000 german civil emergency workers and alot of equipment while asking for straight up money-

.

Who says we dont want real work? I dont speak for everybody, but excluding the lazy fucks that are present everywhere, most people wish spain would focus on rebuilding its secondary and primary sectors and stopped being dependent on tourism or other countries.

to shit on the spanish response.

Dude everybody is shitting on the “spanish response” including the spaniards ourselves. Its the government the ones that have denied help, for reasons that are unclear to everybody with common sense. See videos of the people from valencia, most of them are calling for help like volunteers, electricists, plumbers and anybody, not just money. Spanish media are telling people to NOT volunteer because theyll get in the way of the “specialists” even though there are no such specialists present, or at least, not any thanks to them.

discussing that is honestly a losing battle if your perception of the south countries is that we are all lazy and poor

Seems to me like the plebs are not happy.
The lack of government care for the territories they have under themselves is astounding.
Italy is in the same position where decades of lack of care lead to three floods hitting the same spots in one of the most productive regions of the country in less than a year.
Times will be interesting to say the least.
I pray for our spanish brother and for a swift death to their politicians.

green/filo-green politicians mind you, there's so much that needs to be said that can't be said, we can be thankful that here in italy we had only one death and 4k of people without an home, to which i'm thankful that some of my parents that were in valencia are safe and sound, but i still will pray for the safety of all the afflicted and for the ones that have lost everything.
