For a senior citizen it's good exercise with low rates of injury. He can proceed at his own pace, includes cardio with the walking and full body range of motion as well. He looks to be in pretty decent shape from it, so great.

For a businessman and politician it's a great game, gives a lot of time to talk business deals and strategy in a loose and informal setting that encourages thoughtfulness and discourages intensity or ratcheting.

I'm not really seeing anything but upsides here.
Trump made great use of the game too. Other Presidents did just use it as a bit of a break and holiday, Trump would instead frequently invite people to go with him.. The PM of Japan, various Democrats and Republicans from Congress, political strategists and analysts. Anyone he needed to have a quiet conversation with and needed the Trump Persona dialed down off camera.

Any time he needed to drop the bombastic nature and just be the actual man and not the showman, he'd invite them for golf.

Shame we missed out on the nuclear rage of a 7-2 "conservative" SCOTUS, but I'll live.
Instead we'd have a 6-2 SCOTUS for the duration, with possible big rulings about mandates during...

Yeah, basically.

Nah, this is an issue Manchin and Sinema will fall in line on.
I'd... not be so sure. But will cover that slong with the next.

Have we heard anything directly from Breyer yet? Is it possible they are doing a media show right now to put pressure on him to retire, as some kind of extreme gaslighting? Are they banking on him just folding in the face of a massive PR campaign or something? Do they think that if they just convince 'everyone' (ie their echo chambers) that he'll retire that he just will?

That would be peak Biden, for Breyer to just angrily yell that 'Ill be off the bench when I'm dead' at some reporter while getting his mail and completely fuck their expensive blitz.
Given the Admin itself is hedging its bets, I am not entirely unconvinced this is the case. It did not appear naturally with a few leaks over days, rather every news outlet ran with it over one. That reeks of artificial pressure. Or worse yet for Biden, of Breyer trying to find out who they'd replace him with.

Breyer is not a dyed in the wool lefty, he -has- broken with the other Democrats before. Mind his latest rulings prove politics is a consideration, but he does break occasionally and has expressed concern for his judicial legacy.

Either way, the big roadblock... is going to be Manchin. Possibly Sinema also if my hypothesis as to her being compromised by the Arizona GOP is correct. But Manchin is going to be a problem.

A good bit of why he nuked both BBB and the Voting Bill is because the man is fucking pissed at how the White House treated him. They have only continued said treatment after. If he wanted something to vote against to really nail it to them... you just found it.

But do you want her as President of the United States?

I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but you have an administration in free fall and the VP is even more unpopular than the president (who is senile and may not run again). Wouldn’t you want to jettison the VP in a manner that you could argue was a promotion (Lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land) and then try to replace her with someone who polls ahead of genital herpes?
Actually, I do want her as president, and ASAP. In short, she will fuck the democrats/their support so hard, that they’ll wind up in the political wilderness à la UK Labour.

I fail to see how you consider that Cuntmala on the SCOTUS is preferable to her being president. I agree that, yes, she’s total garbage. Yes, she’s a corrupt, unqualified diversity hire with cemeteries worth of skeletons in her closet. Yes, she’s a disgusting human mattress.

But if she gets to the presidency and is put under that spotlight, she’ll quickly wither as her lack of qualification will manifest itself in ways that are far more stark to what we’re currently witnessing, which will only bleed support/goodwill from members of her own party. As a result, she’ll encounter entrenched resistance on either side of the aisle, and won’t get anything done. NO ONE outside of Twitter likes her, and she alienates within her own party. So, she’ll be a controlled puppet like Nursing Home Joe, while attracting more hatred than Joe is capable of, which does nothing but hurt the democrats in the end. And since she doesn’t have the chops to be a leader who can rally the party towards set goals, again, she’ll find that though she’s president, she has surprisingly little power and will get very little accomplished. And the less she accomplishes, the better off we are.

But if she’s on the SCOTUS? That’s a *lifetime* office where she can sit and make horrendous decisions that set critical precedent that can fuck us over for generations. The long-term effects of that would be devastating. At least the presidency is term-limited.

It looks like your argument is for jettisoning her as VP and putting her on the SCOTUS for political expediency in an effort to salvage this administration, which…doesn’t make much sense either. Cuntmala is a no-go and an absolute mistake spawned by democrat hubris. How do you come to the conclusion that having her as president for a few years is too politically ruinous, but keeping her around for DECADES in a very powerful position is the way to go? And who cares about trying to dress it up as a promotion? If they were smart, she’d be unceremoniously fired/replaced as VP for ‘24 (lol) with some money to shut the fuck up.

Putting her anyplace other than back to CA to live in obscurity is a mistake for the democrats hereon.

Ok, the whole coverage of Breyer's retirement is just a giant clusterfuck. So apparently it's not a hoax but Breyer is expected to make a formal announcement tomorrow? Psaki has also reaffirmed Biden's promise he'll appoint a black womyn as a Justice should a slot open up.
First. Wouldn't it be funny if they say tomorrow he will make a official announcement and it never happens.

Two. Let me guess a black twitter SJW "the constitution doesn't matter" type Judge.

Until I see Breyer livestream his retirement announcement in 4K from a hot tub while shilling Ridgewallet I won't believe shit. Like @Gehenna said, it's sus as fuck that this came out simultaneously from every media outlet on the planet with no organic leaks or lead up. This announcement that there will be an announcement seems like a setup to put pressure on Breyer to fold like a cheap suit, nothing more.

Breyer ain't retiring until I see him with Biden in the Press Corp Room for the first time in his presidency.

I agree it just feels weird that we are hearing this form News outlets and noting close form Breyer himself. That's why I say wait until tomorrow to se what happens

SCOTUS judges are appointed for life and have enormous power over the Constitution. The presidency is a temporary thing and she is, as you said, someone who couldn't poll ahead of genital herpes.

I was speaking from the perspective of the DNC, not my own personal views. Sorry if I wasn’t clear on that.

If the did it it’s because they’re trying to jettison her to SC in an effort to put someone in as VP who could succeed our Dementia Patient in Chief. It would be considered a promotion and would allow them to replace her as VP without losing face.

I tend to agree with your assessment that she’s so inept that her tenure as president would send the Democrats out into the wilderness for a decade or two.

Bill Kristol has officially entered Wonderland.
I wonder if his stash could be the seed stock for a new class of antidepressants. That or industrial strength hallucinogens. Either way, there's a market.

I know it’s still uncertain as to whether or not Breyer is announcing his retirement tomorrow.

I hope he doesn’t. Yeah, yeah, a 7-2 court would be hilarious, and I’d love to see more egg on President Mushbrain’s face…But aside from that, think of how much more satisfying it would be for this dumb bitch’s hired workers to realize that she spoke too soon and have to walk this back.
