Pretty sure they meant mod tools were slow. Not the thread itself. Other mods have commented on the tools becoming near unusably slow when threads get too big.

The fact that you lock what was more or less a containment thread that regularly updated about 3-5 new pages by every 5 hours or so (That's my estimate from what I've seen) is a retarded idea. It just means either it will spread out to the rest of A&N, or everyone will just regroup in a different thread.
