Breyer stepping down makes perfect sense. The November midterms are looking to be a absolute bloodbath for the Democrats and they don't want to risk Republicans getting back control and stalling until the next Republican President.
The Dems also want something resembling a win.

I can't wait to see what kind of moonbat Biden('s handlers) nominate.

Maybe they'll re-nominate Garland? They don't seem too happy with him as AG, since he's not being enough of a MovieBob Prosecutor as they want.

Can anyone TLDR the justice confirmation process? Is it just a Senate majority vote? Because even that looks like it might run into difficulties.

Okay, so there’s no real potential negative consequences of Biden replacing him. At worst we just get another activist judge who always votes blue.
The worst case scenario in this case depends on how young the new judge is, rather than their leanings. The short term consequences are minor but the long term ones could still be devastating.

It almost took a Democrat supermajority in the Senate to get the Wise Latina on the bench, unless Biden's West Wing cosplayer staff have completely lost their marbles, the nominee's going to be some Uniparty snake who's good at feigning moderation like Merrick Garland was.
Things have drastically changed since 2009 and considering some of the insane nominees that the administration has put forward for other positions (Saule Omarova and Tracy Stone-Manning come to mind) I am not so sure that they feel the need to be moderate. Then again this is the Supreme Court and not some executive branch flunky job so you might be right.

If I were them, I'd nominate Obama just as a power move.

And they had to withdraw Omorova's nomination, that's why they aren't going to put some open leftist up for the bench this go-around. They simply don't have the votes for it. RINOs are voting with the administration on fewer and fewer occasions, and they have two of their own Senators from red states that have been nerfing Biden's agenda into the ground on multiple successive bills now. They'll put up some person who is good at playing noble, unassailable statesman who then coincidentally always votes with Kagan and Sotomayor upon being confirmed

Speaking of noble, unassailable statesmen who would always vote for the progressive ruling...
But really I think he has zero interest and would probably refuse the nomination.

That would be fucking hilarious if the dem internal conflicts screw this up

Shame we missed out on the nuclear rage of a 7-2 "conservative" SCOTUS, but I'll live.

A bird in a hand is better than two in a bush.

Now the Democrats will most likely just push for it on their own or cuck out of decorum because of the midterms as Manchin doesn't want to be seen nominating some uber liberal tranny nigger to the SCOTUS.
Well I am disappointing we won't get a 7 conservative justices vs 2 liberal justices just for the hell of it.

I am generally carious what leftie nutjob Biden where find to nominated and what would happen if said judge is such a nutcase someone like Manchin is going to have to say no.

But even than a six majority conservative judges over three is still funny to me.

I want to see a thread poll go up when nomination process starts. My money is going on Muslim wahman.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the replacement process takes so long with all the internal bickering, that it gets stretched past the midterms, and then a republican midterm sweep leads to nothing but conservative nominations to Bidens plate. I would die laughing if Biden became the man to lean the court even harder out of lack of options.

It's uncharacteristic of the Democrats to learn from their mistakes, but I guess Ginsberg burned them badly. Unless the Senate can block the opening for three years the ultimate goal is denying Trump another SCOTUS pick. It sucks, but what can you do?

>be janny
>Thread trashing Biden is too successful
>Lock it to try to shut the posters up
>Now you have 20 new threads to sweep

At the very least, I'm glad to be posting about Biden again.
I see that some janny continues to cope and seethe.

Will they ever be a woman, or even a human being? The jury is still out.

WE'RE WORKING ON IT
Curse the trolls, peace to everyone else.
Tagging a mod or anything higher in the biden megathread should count for a permanent ban, tagging HHH should be a 3 month thread ban, make an example out of the fuckers
Are people even getting banned for one word replies?
In a training role. 175 from the florida guard to build a training center.

Wisconsin Assembly votes unanimously to recall Biden electors
it moves to committee and then to Wisconsin senate. To be clear: this does nothing to remove Biden but is a pretty big demonstration on their lack of confidence in the last election and Biden as a whole.
And the /pol/ and THe Donald will be asking why it took them this long.
Losing Breyer just means swapping out one rubber-stamp leftist judge for another and won't affect the status quo one iota. We're almost certain to get another Sotomayor-tier retard in his place though, so there are going to be some amusing dissents to read in the future.

They will simply find another Garland.

Someone who the press will swear up and down is "moderate" but is nothing but a Democrat hatchet man.
Really? I thought the next step would be to talk about the steps to pack the court.
