It’s pathetic and laughable to be the virgin nerd who feels superior to anyone who shows a passing interest in their fandom while unconditionally looking down upon them. We have plenty of threads of all kinds based around them in Community Watch.

But it’s also laughable for people to try to act like the virgin nerd in their superiority complex when they have very little knowledge of the media itself.

In addition, some fads are simple laughable in themselves, such as the fidget spinner fad, which can involve both normal and autistic people while still being laughable. Nobody who follows a silly fad has to be someone to look down upon as a whole or somebody to get mad at. The exceptional individuals within the fad will generally be laughed at more.

This thread is filled with powerlevel, don't deny that. Anything that starts with "As a real fan of this thing/as an actual gamer girl" is an overreaction to something that doesn't matter at all and is taken way too personal, as if your life depends on it. It's probably better to take the occasion to distance yourself from your geekiness a bit, aye? Try somethin new like gardening or something

This is one of the few threads that make me laugh regardless if its the videos of people crying because they got something wrong in zelda or kiwis crying about someone getting something wrong in zelda.

Half the people in the my school qualifies for this. There usually are a ton of these kinds of people coming in nerdy clubs in the first few weeks, they leave after a while.
