Avg Gas Prices 30-4-2026.png
The U.S. nationwide average gas price has climbed to $4.30 per gallon as of Thursday, according to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), a four-year high, as American drivers feel the squeeze at the pump.

Gas prices rose 7¢ on Thursday, up from $4.23 on Wednesday, according to AAA data. The last time average U.S. gas prices topped $4.15 a gallon was in April 2022, shortly after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Gas prices have been rising since the U.S. and Israel's war in Iran began on February 28, when a gallon cost $2.98.

For Americans looking carefully at what the consequences of the war would be on the nation’s economy, the apparently unstoppable climb in gas prices is further bad news, after the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data showed that inflation jumped to its highest level in two years in March, driven by coffee, fuel, and housing price hikes.

This rise in inflation, turbocharged by skyrocketing energy prices stemming from ongoing disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, is reflected in President Donald Trump’s plummeting approval rating.

Weird since Diesel has started dropping around here. It was up from ~$4 months ago to $5.40 a couple weeks ago. Not even the speed pumps for trucks are still above $5 today.

And they are never going back down again. Thanks Cheeto in Chief! When are people going to wake up to the fact that inflation is a scam and people should have died for it a long time ago.
I'd name search your opinion on Biden hitting these same prices during Ukraine but youre a 2024 registration. Trump may have it up now but he has a track record of driving it down from Sleepy Joe's fumble so its reasonable to believe it'll come down again. Maybe if Kamala campaigns on gas prices instead of felon tranny surgeries she might win a swing state or two in 2028 before she lies down and dies for JD Vance.

Drove to Salinas, about twelve miles away, this morning. Think the cheapest gas I saw was $5.99 for regular, most places were over $6. Prices on base will be lower but don't think we need gas until next week.

Gas is like $3.84 here. Circa yesterday. Was down to about $3.34-35 not too long ago. sat there for a little bit.

The most recent spike (this week) seems to be a combination of the last of the pre-war oil arriving, Trump informing his staff to expect a protracted blockade and a regional refinery in Indiana experiencing some technical issue that slowed production.
There's also the fact that UAE announced they were leaving OPEC+. Starting tomorrow.

Only Democrat presidents don't have control, but also they're responsible for the good economy under a Republican president.
Democrats are responsible for all bad things that happen, regardless of when it happened.

Iran is Obama's and Biden's fault; Obama made that terrible peace deal with them that would've ended their weapons program, Biden should've bombed Iran when Russia invaded Ukraine because I said so.

Republicans are responsible for all good things that happen, regardless of when it happened.

The great economy in 2016 was all thanks to Trump and all the horrible stuff you remember about 2020 was somehow after Trump left office, after Biden cheated his way to electoral victory very illegally perhaps with the help of his drug-addicted half-naked son Hunter.

Still about half what we pay.
We drive about twice as many miles per driver as you, though, on average, and our cars average about 5 mpg lower (standardized to equivalent gallon volumes). Our average expenditure per car is higher, and we also tend to have more cars per capita (0.86-0.90 vs 0.60-0.63). A family unit averages 1.8-2.3 cars in the US, whereas in the UK the average is about 1.2. I know some of that is, "oh, Anericans' love affair with cars, as big as possible please," (aka, avoidable) but it's also a function of infrastructure and size, as well, which is less optional.

Plus overall prices are lower partially because our net crude import % is only 2% to the UK's net crude import % of over 40% [heavy disclaimer on those stats; I consulted a few sources, but did not insist on combing definitive/ comprehensive sector analyses]. Net numbers are only so useful bc money into vs out of an economy from x source doesn't necessarily directly translate to cost to an end-user, but I guess a lower net import % might be loosely indicative of expected lower user costs.

(And btw, stats are interesting and a bit frustrating in a complicated sector like energy, but kind of a fascinating sector if you like that kind of thing.)

Sounds legit.

I'd pay $10 a gallon and gladly if it meant more dead niggers than otherwise and negative population growth. Yeet more jeet tax? If it works, I'll pay that, too.

A small price to pay if the reward is we get to economically and strategically strangle another anti-American caliphate out of existence.

why dont we just buy like spic oil or whatever

rather give the cholos money than sand niggers

Only those with jobs are driving right now anyway and they are paying high fast food prices. More and more people are entering poverty every day. Niggers are being kept artificially alive with EBT chicken, this wont last. Why has no one proposed giving niggers sovereignty? Or do we not want them with nukes?

You guys got it all wrong
It isn't Democrats or Republicans fault
It's Israel
