Arizona's getting all the attention but Nevada seems even more hilarious. Like 75-80% of the population lives in two cities, how the fuck did it take 4 days after the election to figure out who won? Sure couldn't be because they needed to get some extra ballots, no, that's just a conspiracy theory!
"Holding steady" when the president is this unpopular among independent voters and many of governors had spent the past two years putting jackboots on people's necks while cheering on violent rioters is a terrible, terrible result. It's such a terrible result I don't even believe it is the legitimate result (but it sure did save the number of ballots the Democrats needed to print).
Democrats will make the Dobbs decision a moot point if (really, when, since expect fraud) they win the Georgia runoff since the Women's Health Protection Act will pass 50-50 with VP as the tie-breaker meaning no abortion restrictions whatsoever nationwide. The Roe v. Wade bandaid needed to come off eventually because it was a bad precedent, and having it be the big issue for a midterm is better than having it be a motivator during a presidential election. Given how much abortion and student debt forgiveness got dems to the polls (along with other shenanigans) and the Republicans held steady when they had no big motivator is a good sign.
