Arizona's getting all the attention but Nevada seems even more hilarious. Like 75-80% of the population lives in two cities, how the fuck did it take 4 days after the election to figure out who won? Sure couldn't be because they needed to get some extra ballots, no, that's just a conspiracy theory!
The Roe v. Wade bandaid needed to come off eventually because it was a bad precedent, and having it be the big issue for a midterm is better than having it be a motivator during a presidential election. Given how much abortion and student debt forgiveness got dems to the polls (along with other shenanigans) and the Republicans held steady when they had no big motivator is a good sign.
Democrats will make the Dobbs decision a moot point if (really, when, since expect fraud) they win the Georgia runoff since the Women's Health Protection Act will pass 50-50 with VP as the tie-breaker meaning no abortion restrictions whatsoever nationwide.

"Holding steady" when the president is this unpopular among independent voters and many of governors had spent the past two years putting jackboots on people's necks while cheering on violent rioters is a terrible, terrible result. It's such a terrible result I don't even believe it is the legitimate result (but it sure did save the number of ballots the Democrats needed to print).

Yeah, no. Even if they get control of both the House and the Senate it will be no different than the status quo we have now really. Manchin and a few of the blue dogs will be totally against filling the supreme court or no restriction abortion and repealing 2A. Federal hate speech laws will be overturned by the supreme court. And Dems would be idiots to try and get CRT and Gender funny stuff in through Congress. That shit has to be inserted into society quietly.

Also, Republican odds of controlling the House still look good. I'm not going to doom and say they're going to lose until we know for sure. Not saying it won't happen, but there is no reason to freak out about shit that hasn't happened yet.

What do you mean? Hasn’t everything since 2016 been nothing but increasing resentment and wondering when diplomacy and decency will be completely thrown out the window? Hell, once upon a time, we had a Senator attack another Senator with a cane.

I can easily see things going nearly as bad as that.
I want my representatives to be fighting to the death. Killing politicians and representing your electorate, how to kill two birds with one stone!

Mind you, Sam Houston (The Texas revolutionary) beat a repersenative and Andrew Jackson almost beat his assassin to death with a cane.

As if we were going to vote for the Republicans without Trump?
Kinda put themselves in a corner, Trump is the reason why people are at least open to voting Republican. Before trump they were just seen as a dying political party ran by boomers that reputation is tarnished for trying to ban video games and out of touch with culture. Going back to the "everything is satanic" isn't going to gain votes.

Culture war would be more successful than what they want to do. Biden and the democrats are currently doing it. Socialism for corporations and more military spending.
Unfortunately doing multiple "Ben Shapiro REKTS college Libs" didn't win in 2020 or 2022. Unfortunately they have to start regaining Influence in the education & entertainment sectors. Republicans can't be the "Honorable losers" or the "Maverick" cope if they expect to do "ReD WaVeS". The right always want to retreat and be happy with their little crumbs instead of fighting back. Which drew to but also turned people from Trump. The GOP Doesn't fight for anything. At least for MGT & Bobert they don't give a fuck. Crossing the Isle has done more harm than good because the Left showed they will always see Rinos, establishment GOP or Moderates the enemy.

Been seeing this article make the rounds on Twitter and I don’t really get it:
https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2022...-debate-These-graphs-show-how-wrong-they-were
So the debate wasn’t a disaster for Fetterman and actually helped him because he apparently gained 1 point as opposed to Oz who’s approval ratings stopped after the debate even though so did Fetterman’s? This article explains this so weirdly.

You mean the thing they should have done under Clinton or Obama? Dobbs becoming moot due to legislation would be fine because the issue with RvW was that it was an unconstitutional workaround to something that should have been done though congress. The reason why they had to get it though the SC was because abortion isn't actually as popular as it seems. If they pass that act, Dems in purple counties will lose their seats. I think the Dems like having it as an election issue and will drag their feet "solving" the problem.

Spite isn't a good motivator to vote and people are too forgetful of bad times. Think of it like this, despite EVERYTHING (MSM narratives, election fortification, galvanized Dem base, jaded Rep base) the Republicans gained seats in the house, and only lost one senate seat (no incumbent advantage) in a year when the majority of seats up for election are Reps. This is a step in the right direction and a modest victory. Hopefully the Reps take notes and pull out all the stops for the presidential.

We need real election reforms if we are ever going to fix this fucking country. The next election is going to be even more absurd than 2020.

There's no guarantee the GOP are even going to take the House. Whichever way you look at it, this is a terrible result. GOP at best underperformed. At worst they completely blew what should have been a grand slam election. If there's one silver lining in this, it's that there's no way RINO parasites Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell remain in their leadership roles after this. They can try to blame Trump as much as they want, it's not gone unnoticed from the electorate as well as the candidates themselves that those two spent more time trying to thwart and sabotage viable candidates in winnable races so they can hold on to their power. If they do, somehow, hold on to that power, there's going to be revolt. Cocaine's days are numbered
