I didn't have my hopes up for PA but somehow I am more dissapointed than I ever could have expected. I didn't think Shapiro would win considering what he did during COVID lockdowns and what the Democrats did as a whole to this state during the pandemic, but Mastriano let them run a smear campaign on his character without doing antyhing in response. Not once did I heard that wop reply that they basically took all those claims massively out of context and out of proporiton and basically painted him as your average boomer Qtard. Doesn't help he never articulated on his policy at all in campaign ads.

Fetterman looks set to win meaning we are sending a literal carpet-bagging, daddy-mooching, ivy league, stroked-out retard to the Senate to compliment the senile fucktard in office who campaigned in PA back in 2020 that his rich dad mvoed them out of the state when he was 4 or whatever.

Oz never should have gotten the Trump endorsement because he's fucking Oz, should have gone to literally any other candidate running for the GOP nomination. Trump Jr. honestly should have thrown his hat into the ring for the lols, he probably would have been a better candidate.

I can't blame the rural rust belt methhead communities for this, they consistently vote Republican, it is the small urban centers that get colonized by New Yorkers and Marylanders that are causing the most issues, and Philly needs fucking divided from this state.

Even if they made this election as transparent as possible, I refuse to believe there was never any fraud, and until people actually start reacting seriously to suspected fraud instead of waiting until the next election cycle thinking they can fix it then, nothing will fucking change.

Just to divert to doomposting a little bit, I just remembered something earlier this evening while I was stuck in two consecutive multi car pileups on my drive home from work. Some lady in Mercer County called into the radio show I was listening to to complain about why voting isn't more streamlined and why we can't all just vote on a computer in the comfort of our own home? She argued (and I used that term generously) that some egghead should write up a software that allows you to vote based off your SSN and will boot any duplicate entries that may be entered.

Surprise surprise, she reveals two minutes into her tirade that she voted Democrat. I don't think even the boomer-est of Republican voters are this lazy when it comes to voting. Credit where it's due, at least they'll go out to the polling places and wait in line like doing so isn't this major affront to their precious time. I'm not a fan of voting machines at all and would prefer paper ballots, but I'd still take the former over a computer application.

What state?

If Arizona (after getting Maricopa to finally commit) and Nevada play out as anticipated and the inevitable Georgia runoff goes to Walker this election will actually line up with predictions. A 20-30 seat Republican House majority and 52 seat Senate majority is right on the money.
This is what I'm feeling, especially since we're this late in and the race is still neck in neck with Walker and Warnock.

52-48 with a house majority is fine by me. Just deadlock Biden like we did the Obama administration. Sure, all of the bullshit won't go away, but for two years things will be relatively quiet and calm. The country needs a break.

Just saw my state's results. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. "Vote Blue no matter who", indeed. Had Libertarian and Independants in the running. Lots of great ideas with little to no extremes like the Democrats and Republicans. Unfortunately, my state kinsmen voted exclusively for those who would throw this country into hell, going so far as to reelect a governor who had already brought suffering upon them but I guess people wanted more. I don't know why I voted or why I care.

Oz was the best option of a bunch of terrible options. The fact he has gotten within the technical range of winning says it all. The problem is that the others had some major baggage as well or were too far from the center to realistically win.

The problem in PA for a Republican running is they have to straddle the line of being acceptable to the Republican base but being something likeable enough by the wine moms to get them to vote in the cities. PA's a fascinating case.

I'm astounded that specific states are keeping their Democrat governors despite the unfettered abuse they've inflicted during the COVID years (Whitmer and Hochul especially) while the two reddest of red states just became so red that they are no longer in play as swing states for 2024
People in those Democrat ruled states voted with their feet. Conservative's who can are getting the fuck out of places like NY and MI because they know there is no fixing these crazy fucked up states. The country is splitting in 2. Better get on the correct side now before you get trapped behind enemy lines.

Everyone ITT is dooming dooming dooming:
Not me. I'm positively beaming right now. I shall revel in the victory I have wrought for me and my bretheren....but that will have to wait until after I've rested. Godspeed, AZ, NY, and PA Kiwis. And remember: if the situation were hopeless, their propaganda wouldn't be necessary. Night, guys

Looks like New Hampshire is stuck with Hassan and likely Pappas for 2 more years - somewhat predictable if you've seen what the cities have been turning into there. Interesting to note that the DNC is planning on their 2024 election schedule and their plan was to remove New Hampshire from first in the nation primary since it doesn't "reflect the diversity of the Democratic Party" and instead move it to Nevada, They postponed it after Hassan and Kuster threw a fit saying it would cause Dems to never get elected in the midterms and that it was against the state constitution, but I imagine now that they feel safe they'll just do it anyway and say to hell with NH voters now that they got 2 more years of diversifying New England.

Yup, pretty much feel the same way and especially agree with the part in bold. A fucking utterly dem controlled, completely failed city full of voters who would probably vote for dead hitler if he had a "D" next to his name.
