It would seem easy for Republicans to have talking points that aren't simply reactionary. They can campaign on:
  • A stronger dollar
  • Increased job security
  • Strong network to help mental health
  • Modernization and perfection of nuclear power
  • Emphasis on peace and non-interventionism
  • Cutting government bloat to make the system run less haphazardly
  • Reinforcement of Christian and Enlightened values which built the US and gave people a sense of purpose and direction
But they won't because they are too busy fellating "owning" the dems. They won't come up with any policies because their policies are just "Dems but on a speed limit." I hope MAGA and non-lolbert Libertarians dominate the Republican Party if there is a redwave.

They're basicially "We tried nothing and we're all out of ideas"

No wonder you spout the literal party line on the issue when you don't understand how propaganda and PR works and regurgitate your same nonsense argument.

And that's the thing, the Republicans don't sell a vision besides "at least we aren't those evil Democrats!" even though the majority of the party is just Dem-lite on most or all issues, like all the Republicans voting for billions to Ukraine or other silly Davos-approved neocon foreign policy. People like honesty in politics, and Trump seemed like a genuine, honest person (and for all my criticism, he really was by the low standards of politicians). It really isn't surprising the Republican Party keeps losing.

Your mental illness interprets things that aren't propaganda as propaganda when it doesn't make sense. Biden having Covid for five days was not propaganda. Get a life and move on. You have the frame of mind of 2002 internet posters that think you win if you get the last reply in. Not a single person on this thread believes your theory about Biden not having covid.

You're authoritarian as you flat out described yourself in this thread and want the corpses of the people you don't like in the streets to invoke fear as you said in another thread. You'd call George Washington "Dem-lite" probably. No one likes establishmentatrians or crooked poliiticans, but who the hell are you to criticize normal voters when you're more anti-American than most comic book super villains (not to give you a big head, I'm sure your'e some neackbeard lardass).

I can't believe I have to explain this, but apparently retards still don't seem to understand. Red wave elections do not show up in polling until the end of October. This happened in every election since I have been following politics, 2010 being a very infamous one. In 2010 Democrats were jizzing themselves over 5 or 6 Senate races they thought for sure they were going to take because polls had them up 3-5 points through the Summer of 2010 and going into October. On election day, Republicans took every one of those seats by an average of nearly 7 points.

This is because there is a non response bias for Republicans, Republicans will not answer polls in the Summer, which leads to an oversample of Democrats in polls that already oversample Democrats. These same pollsters had Joe Biden winning Florida by 14 points in July 2020, we just had a leftist pollster do a generic ballot and it showed Republicans up 3, problem is this pollster in all their polls combined over stated Democrat support by nearly 6 points. Last and not least, Washington Post released a poll tonight showing Pro Life Republicans were more likely to vote in November than Pro abortion Democrats by 12 points....so much for your argument about Roe v Wade.

Some of the people here don't want to hear rational takes becuase they want to sell their doom and gloom or Dem copium no matter the context. The idea of this not being a a red wave is insane. If you heard what normal people thought about Biden right now, there would be no mistaking the sentiment. I've never seen voters this angry. They weren't even as pissed off at this when the Iraq War went south.

It may end up being that way, but Dr Oz is going to lose the PA Senate race, the PA Governor's race will almost certainly also go to the Democrats. In 2016 you could feel an energy in the air around the bordering suburbs of Philadelphia, Trump signs were all over and there was a vibe that is hard to place into words some mix of tension and electricity like a cord being drawn tighter and tighter making you uneasy about when it was going to snap and lash out like a whip. PA leans slightly democrat and driving around the south eastern part of the state made me feel that something was distinctly off, there was a lot of overt enthusiasm for Trump in areas I never expected it. I felt Trump was going to lose and I voted for him as a meme since I felt both candidates were shit and having Trump just jam up the Executive branch for 4 years being unable to do anything was preferable to more overt Neo-liberal corruption. Today I don't feel that energy, nor did I feel it in 2020, the whole south eastern part of Pennsylvania is just lifeless, its like an entire area is dispirited and just going through the motions without any optimism or expectation that the situation can or should get better. There is no energy for Mastriano or Oz, but then again -- there is also no energy for Fetterman or Shapiro, in this kind of situations I always expect the Democrats to win via inertia.

I understand but overt optimism never helps in these situations. I would recommend donating a small amount of cash to the aforementioned races, and if you live in these states, actually volunteering for phone banking and stuff like that. I know that’s being a faggot and simping for the Republican Party is only one small step from cuckholdry, but the alternative here is a permanent dystopian reality where all political opposition is criminalized and the Build Back Better WEF Charles Swab Soros Coalition rules over us with such an iron fist that it would make even Vladdy Daddy Putin recoil with shock and awe

The GOP as a whole has rejected Trump's message of an America that works better for Americans. Trump talked about bringing jobs back from China, about stopping corporations from harvesting cheap labor from Central America, about not engaging in wars that aren't in Americans' interests, and so on. Trump was running against 30 years of uniparty fecklessness. He was running against the shared platform that the Democrats and Republicans had agreed on since the end of the Cold War.

Republicans haven't picked up that message, because they don't believe in it. We're back to, "The Democrats suck and are bad for the economy, aren't they? Vote for me, and I'll...well, don't ask what I'll do!"

Democrats increasingly vote based on fear and hate - fear that the hated Mayoghoulen will take over the government, repeal every amendment except the second, and start enslaving undocumented Guatemalan transgender women fleeing climate change-induced COVID-19 genocide in Ukraine. But it's a pretty intense fear, one that Democrats are good at playing on. Republicans can't even agree on whether or not, as a party, they should be against grooming and censorship.

A lot of words to say "I'm ignorant and don't understand how propaganda works." You probably unironically believe politics is real and not just kayfabe.

It's ironic you bring up Washington when you'd be the one shrieking about how horrible it is people DARE pour the king's tea into the harbor. You are a Canadian in spirit.

Like half the Republican Party is more or less owned by the WEF (i.e. Dan Crenshaw or the Republicans who voted for garbage like the infrastructure bill) and the other half supports many pro-WEF policies like the vaxx (Trump funded the vaxx with your taxpayer money and he wants you to take it) and neocon foreign policy like handouts to Ukraine/Israel.

2016 was a very interesting point in time where just talking about immigration and trade, two verboten concepts, got a lot of the working class excited. Unsurprisingly it was just used for the GOP’s cynical ends like proposing we offshore more industry to India instead of China, retarded shot like the platinum plan, etc.

I think in order to bring back that energy, it’s show me, don’t tell me time. Every Republican ding dong is going to go through the motions of using America First talking points but people are just smart enough to suss out who means it and who doesn’t. That’s not going to be Dr. Oz, Herschel Walker, or any of these other losers. The neoliberal/chamber of commerce-wing of the Republicans are the very people that the working class rejected with Jeb, Mitt, etc. and there’s no scenario where people will ever come around to liking them again. I’m not surprised these people are losing in places that are easy wins. Besides, they’re just going to vote with the democrats when it matters so who gives a fuck if they win or not, it’s going to be literally the same outcome.

There was a bill in Texas to stop companies from having vax requirements at all. It was defeated by the Republicans, "because that's big government."

I probably will be votingthis midterm because my district's candidate, while not particularly outstanding, appears to be an outsider who is more of a basic tradcon rather than a Romneyite. However that if they were a swamp creature I would see no reason in voting. Lesser of two evils still gives you an evil.

They're only against big government when it suits the uniparty

Tax rates have been extremely low for decades now. Only the most extreme lolberts and sov cits think 10% is some insane burden that requires federal intervention.

Most right leaning voters don't give a shit about tax cuts, they want their representatives to go hard against child grooming, woke corporations, troons showing their buttholes to kids in public, and nigger crime.

Yeah when boomercons talk about a small government, they mean getting niggers off welfare and not needing a permit to install a tree on their own property, not just seeing an extra five bucks on their paycheck. Most tax cuts just result in jacking up property taxes or various fees so that extra $5 that the burgerboomer gets in his paycheck results in $1,000 in extra property taxes and various fees that get paid throughout the year. That’s why nobody gives a shit when some chucklefuck talks about small government…and they’re right to not give a shit.

Yeah, I think the problem with the doom and gloomers is they are treating this like a presidential cycle. Mid-terms do not behave the same way. The mid-terms are a voter veto aimed at the executive branch and the party in power and are about voter anger. Also a lot of discounting of the importance of the economy. The economy is a big deal becuase it affects people who don't give a shit about politics or culture wars. It's where the rubber hits the road. A rising tide lifts all boats. We've already seen one deep blue hispanic district flipped over this. It's good to be paranoid until the voting is over, but I don't buy the media trying to manufacture copium over the fact they probably think the despair in their ranks is going to depress turnout.

You think everything is kayfabe because your'e a crazy and stupid. You called Trump a neocon. Your'e a nutbag. You've been going on about Biden's covid being "propangada" for like 10 posts. Even the other people who don't like me aren't backing you up. lol

Yes, someone who wants to replace republican democracy in the United States with authoritarianism is ideologically on the side of the people that tried to break away from a king. Go watch loli hentai. lol

It's July in a midterm year, way too early to judge the energy. Wait until October. Both Oz and Mastriano are working super hard at campaigning while Fetterman and Shapiro are going with the "muh New Jersey" schtick for the former and "muh Jan 6" nonsense for the latter.

Oz and Mastriano will crush their opponents decisively.

A bit of drama has broken out in the Hawai'i Governor Election race, as candidate Kai Kahele has been accused of using an anti-Semitic caricature, a 'Mr. Men' and 'Little Miss' meme: (Archive)

The records that Kahele is asking for release is of current Lt. Governor and candidate Josh Green's financial statements for his ER doctor work. Jewish leaders said that this resembles Hitler, which is a very :optimistic: :optimistic: :optimistic: stretch.

Also, Green has criticized Kahele's work for being a commercial airline pilot, and owning several rental homes, in similar fashion.

Josh Green also has a Jewish father, and claims that some of his uncles and aunts were Holocaust survivors.

Why are Jews so fucking annoying and get so butthurt when anybody does anything silly and harmless?

Republicans should focus on opposing government bloat from its bureaucracy and agencies. The US doesn't need 5 intelligence/security agencies with tens of thousands of workers each whos are given cushy pensions and salaries from taxpayers that are then funneled into public sector unions. Any problem the US faces internally comes from its horrifically inflated public sector.

I can tell you this, the Dem primaries in Hawaii right now are just an orgy of desperate mudslinging. They're self destructing for no reason because the Republicans here are marginalized and hapless.

Let me break down just the governor's primary. There is the anointed by the party apparatus (Green), and then the remnant of the old political machine from the 90s (Cayetano), and the stock progressive who sorta is just mouthing the platitudes (Kahele). The old guard and progs have teamed up to take down the anointed, and the fight is no holds barred between the two of them. The breakdown is mirrored in many of the lesser Dem primaries as well.

The Republicans have an old lukewarm evangelical RINO (Aiona), a celebrity vanity run that might have a small chance of getting in and then wrecking itself on the shoals of inexperience (Penn), and the weird haole ex-military super-conservative (Cordery). The Repubs are actually feared to lose a seat in the house of what few they have in the general.

The problem with the government and taxation is they can't use the money they have now...ironically in part due to said wokeness since the federal government needs to pay "diversity consultants" 20K (plus take the whole day off) so federal employees can be told how racist they are, plus the millions we give to help Pakistani gender studies programs and raise the rainbow flag (our real national flag) over Kabul for Pride Month.

I might be crazy, but you're just stupid. Like you probably believe PedoJoe really did catch the Wuflu twice in one month. That's proof the government is using it for propaganda (or maybe proof PedoJoe is just a lazy fuck like Trudeau and wants to get out of something).

"Republican democracy" doesn't exist in the US and never has by intention of the founders. Go whine about the electoral college and how we need to abolish the Senate to give California and New York more seats like the rest of the Our Democracy crowd you clearly belong to.
