I don’t know what you faggots are talking about but I hate niggers and taxes and I’ll vote for whoever is putting the niggers away and lowering taxes.

It’s really that fucking simple and is why Ron DeSantis is such an effective politician.
Everyone is convinced Orange Man is running again, but I think it's going to be DeSantis/Stefanik in 2024 or 2028 (Pence or Mittens could possibly get the nomination out of pure spite). Prove me wrong.

The Democrats embraced the politics of the Sexual Revolution after about 1972, when the McGovern wing of the party ascended to power. Prior to the Democrats going all-in on divorce, abortion, fatherlessness, etc, evangelicals split about 50/50 Democrat vs Republican. There hadn't been an anti-religious force in politics, so there hadn't been any reason for religion to become a political faction. Lee Atwater saw the way social trends were going, and saw that on everything from family issues to martial valor, the South was becoming more aligned with the Republicans than the Democrats year after year. This largely annoyed the Republicans, who never really wanted to stop being the party of big business and international trade.
I generally agree with this except Dixiecrats came back as a political force one more time for Jimmy Carter, which is the last time the Democrats won the Old South.
McGovern was a disaster though. How or why he was nominated is just weird, since my boomer father said he barely saw any support for him but during the primaries his town had tons of people passing out Muskie stickers (and the campaign even visited his high school since the 26th Amendment had just been passed) which he and his friends would slap on everything.
The realignment is why. New Deal politics (1932-1968 ) basically had the president be a NE liberal and the vice president a Dixiecrat. Now they figured they couldn’t nominate anyone who isn’t agreeable to the New Left. McGovern was an idealist to a fault but he didn’t viscerally piss off either the New Deal faction, the New Left, or the Dixiecrats but he didn’t inspire any of them either. The Democrats picking idealists was their way to go from 1972 through 1992 and only worked once with Carter.
I would not be surprised if the entire state of Iowa went red. Cindy Axne is the only D representative there and basically is there because Republicans keep pushing David Young, who is Chuck Grassley’s puppet and is a pure cuckservative on every issue. Fortunately Young has finally gotten the hint after losing twice (2018 and 2020) and is running for a state representative position, clearing the way for someone who can actually win.

For it to be considered a toss up is a joke. I suspect a lot of those tossups are actually lean Rs.
Everyone is convinced Orange Man is running again,
Who actually thinks that? Trump’s role moving forward to provide endorsements for several million dollars a pop. Wouldn’t surprise me if his endorsement in 2024 is at least $100 million. Nigga is only in this to get paid and absolutely nothing more.

Wow, great 2015 MSNBC talking point especially after all the bullshit he had to go through to prove naysayers like you wrong.
Trump just played golf at Mar-a-Lago while neocons like Kushner ran the White House, he's a grifter through and through. Only credit he gets is that being a grifter is still several steps above being a career politician.

And you're a spaz who wants "authoritarianism that doesn't benefit the elite." LOL. Seriously, why would I consider political analysis from someone who is insane?

Trump had problems, but it was one hundred percent from the forces to be bogging him down. Obviously, you'll side with the establishment who fucked with his adminiration with things like Russia Gate, fought every single executive order of his in court, etc. becuase you hate America, and give him no credit for getting as much done like axing NAFTA and improving the eocnomy as he did while maneurving through all that bullshit. You buying into left wing media talking points about Trump not being a hard worker when he's known for not sleeping is good stuff. But you're a schizo that believes there shouldn't be elections, so why am I even talking to you again?

You're probably more authoritarian than I am given you talk about Trump like the average fanboy of Maduro whining about how perfect their president is if only the gringos stopped getting in his while touting his totally real achievements which totally have made REAL CHANGES and aren't just exaggerated or symbolic gestures. Why are Trump fanboys so defensive of their thoroughly mediocre president who did nothing but act as a dam against the shit-polluted floodwaters of the left?

I love elections BTW, I'd love if we had a Uniparty system where both sides loved America and wanted to help the American people but only disagreed about a few of the methods.

"Dude, I know what would fix the country, a literal uniparty with fake elections!" Take your meds, schizo.

One of the reasons some of Trump‘s staff turned on him is because of the fact that he was stripping his branch of benefits. What kind of benefits? The kind that lets you have a child out of wedlock overseas, ditch the child, and then have them get their citizenship 18-20 years later, at which point said child would be shuffled into a cozy job to shut them up. A normal family has to register their child born on foreign soil within a deadline or face the mother of all bureaucratic nightmares. Making your own staff mortal is in fact an attempt at draining the swamp.

So what you're saying is that America needs to vote for Kushner?

You know what would be a funny outcome?

Trump runs for a seat in Congress. Assuming Trump wins, and GOP takes House and keeps Senate, and assuming enough pro-Trump Republicans win, Trump can be chosen as Speaker of the House. Speaker of House is 3rd in line for Presidential succesion. The House and Senate impeach Biden, Kamala is sworn in, then immediately impeached, and Trump becomes President again, two years before the actual election.

Make it 2 years - 1 day and he'd be able to run for a 2nd term still. 4 years + 2 years + 4 years. Heads would explode, since that really does seem like part of the plan for Kamala.

I mean if we're gonna write fantasies here, I prefer Kamala naming Trump as her VP as a final fuck-you to the establishment, before promptly resigning.

No need to involve Congress in this. (Well sorta, they need to confirm the VP nom still but).

Yeah, this ain't gonna happen.

Funny as it would be, if the GOP won the two-thirds of the Senate they'd need to boot Biden and Harris, it'd be a sign that they were on-course for a Reagan-level landslide in 2024. In that situation, they'd probably do better to let Biden just carry on fucking up and hand them control of even more state legislatures and governor's mansions in 2024.

I don't think it is likely but it would be the biggest fucking L for the Democrats if the GOP won the Midterms by a landslide. I doubt it will happen because they will be putting their fraud tactics in full force to retain their limp dicked political power because it isn't looking good and they know that.
