Politicians say what they nedd to just to get re-elected and ever since bush it has been we need to bring the troops home the problem with that is it clashes with what military lobbyists call "homeland security". If you dont listen to the government and just view their actions its clear that even after the cold war the goal it to build an advanced army while arming countries fighting our enemy with our old military equipment. It is definitely a conspiracy theory but at this point i believe that the military and cia pretty much force the president that its going to be this way for homeland security reasons.

The fact the dems are focused on social issues and getting mad about republicans and ignoring inflation and gas prices hurts them a lot especially in a lot of purple states where abortion rights dont effect most normal families but inflation and gas prices are devastating them.

I genuinely don't think public is stupid enough to buy a 2020 re-run. Even if they tried, it won't be clamping down on voting rules specificaly because anal sex could happen at your local poling places. I"m not going to get into a autistic debate about how you think Covid was invented by the US government, but there's a difference between leveraging a situation and taking advantage of a situation versus inventing that situation.
