It took me like five hours over the course of two days to beat Mr. Rory Night, lmao. I remember taking a break on the second day and just standing out in my garden for a while to muster up the strength to try again. I’m getting too old for this shit with all the WAITing.

If you didn't beat Roaring Knight without the Shadow Mantle then you're a fraud. Sorry.
I’m okay with that. I dodge roll when playing Souls games too.

Something that I think most people miss that makes Suselle even more of a slop is just how cookie cutter similar Suselle and Undyne x Aplhys is to each other
Yeah I literally brought this up before too. It's literally just Undyne x Alphys 2, except somehow shittier?
At least Undertale explains that Undyne and Alphys have known eachother for awhile and have a friendly relationship up until Alphys finally tells her.

Meanwhile, the retarded Deltarune ARG shit basically confirmed that Noelle hasn't even directly interacted with Susie before the events of the game. They have no chemistry, they don't even know eachother. It's terrible writing.

Back when chapter 2 had just released, I played through it and I hated it. I had noticed the similarities between Susie/Noelle and Undyne/Alphys in chapter 1, and I'd been hoping that Toby wouldn't just rehash the same lesbian romance, but chapter 2 was exactly what I feared it would be. I didn't find Noelle to be particularly compelling, and even now after chapters 3 and 4 have released, the only vaguely interesting thing about her is that she's related to Dess and Carol, two characters with a lot more intrigue behind them. I was pretty much done with Deltarune at that point and didn't really intend to keep playing.

And then everyone started talking about how there was a secret route.

The weird route is pretty great. You get to take this stupid character who normally makes the game worse every time she's on screen and turn her into The Raped, AND you get to gaslight gatekeep girlboss her about it too. One of the weird route's biggest strengths, though, is that it lets you skip the horrible Suselle scenes, both in chapter 2 and in chapter 4. No matter what ends up happening, I refuse to ever play the normal routes in these chapters ever again. If the weird route makes the game end at chapter 5 like some people have theorized, then so be it. I'll watch let's plays and skip over the Suselle shit if I need to, or I'll download someone else's normal route file off the Internet.

I thought about this today already, and I don't think that the weird route is going to end at chapter 5.

Remember that the game has only "one ending"? If it really does have only one ending, it wouldn't make sense to have that ending be at the end of chapter 5, because it would essentially also spoil the ending of normal route. Maybe it's going to be something like the two routes merging at chapter 6, leading to the same ending? Something like that, but defenetly not sudden stop.

What do you mean horrible Suselle scenes? I think the dialouge between them when we're in a wardrobe dodging Kris's hockey stick is pretty great, and has no yellow text abuse at all.

I don't think there is one ending.
My theory is that both the normal and weird route lead to fail states, and that only through a very specific nuetral route can the player reach the ending. You can't get the egg in cyber world during the weird route, but you can get the thorn ring, abandon the weird route, and still get the egg, there's gotta be a reason for it.

toby radiator fox trying to keep up with his promises (impossible)

though weird route is still a banger, and with how it gone in chapter 4, it will surely change the ending. weird route ending in chapter 5 is pure heresy.

writing so golden, that even the text is colored in with care. i think that the text was highlighted in order to make sure that it brings attention to the player. "look at me! i am important lore dialogue!"

there could be a "secret" aborted weird route route for the third save file, but i don't actually think that normal and weird route will lead to a fail state. this ain't undertale. chapters are too long anyway, and replaying them would be quite annoying. you can get the egg on the aborted weird route? i didn't know that.

Was it really that unclear? The yellow text just means something caught Kris’s attention, as in the game is telling you “Kris is distracted, go get the guitar”.

Anyway, the fact that the weird route doesn’t let you keep the Thorn Ring in your inventory even though Kris literally has it with him in Chapter 4, yet you can keep it through an aborted weird route, all while Chapter 2 reveals some kind of super weapon that needs to be crafted with the Thorn Ring, has to mean something. I doubt Chapter 5+ will even let you unequip the ring from Noelle, like it’s stuck to her now.

Since people are expecting Suselle to just be Alphyne 2, I think whether Toby's penchant for subverting expectations or his lesbian fetish will win out in the end is surprisingly unpredictable. While he is known to change important things based on how mad his rabid fantards get, since Suselle is so much less popular than Krusie and about as popular as Kriselle (per the Tumblr ship ranks) and is likely less popular than he expected, hopefully fandomnigger interference won't be as big of an issue. Here's hoping he makes the correct choice.

I don't think there is one ending.
>Noelle sacrifices herself to defeat the BBE
>Kris sacrifices himself to defeat the BBE
>Susie sacrifices herself to
defeat the BBE

"one ending" = "BBE is defeated"
Toby the 3000IQ genius megamind celebrated globally for his epic brain: "Uh duhh, I never said anything about the journey. Technically there's only one ending, the BBE is defeated!"

Personally, I was just moving in a circle just to constantly bait Kris untill he stopped moving

It's not just the Tumblr ship ranks...

Krusie is basically two times more poular than Suselle.

YOU CAN'T IGNORE THE TRUTH, TOBY FOX!

I can't help but think Krusie became popular by accident.

Since Ralsei and Lancer are always stuck in the Dark world, Susie is most often around Kris. Noelle and Berdly are mostly stuck in the generally short Light world segments with the exception of Chapter 2. The only two characters consistently present in both Dark and Light worlds are Kris and Susie.

Of course, you also get stuff like this...

For better or worse, memes sell, and there are a lot more in-game meme sprites between Kris and Susie (and sometimes Ralsei) than there are of Susie and Noelle. Unless I'm forgetting something, the only Noelle and Susie related meme sprite, is that one where Noelle's staring at Susie's ass while they were all walking in Chapter 2, and of course...

...Except because Kris is the one standing next to Susie with a deadpan expression towards the camera, the meme becomes "Kris, where the hell are we?" even though in game, Susie's supposed to do that in response to Noelle trying to check her out again.

anyone else sees kris as toby's self insert? i always felt that it was the case, and it could be:

- kris [[wants]] to be a dog, and toby's avatar is the annoying dog. but toby actually prefers cats, like how kris is working with demons and politicians (dark side).
- they both play piano, toby recorded the audio for kris playing in chapter 4.
- apparently kris is going to lose his hand, it could be an allegory for toby's wrist pain.
- they both are stinky traitors who can't keep up with their promises.
- toby is obviously non whitey, and kris could be a (circumsised) jew.
- they're both faggots, one has they/them pronouns and the other you know already.

with how spamton and tenna are essentially jewish caricatures, toby could've made a caricature of himself?? i am probably overthinking all this and kris is only partially toby.
