How do you guys feel about Deltarune being so long? If the “half way” point is literal, then the game is going to take over 30 hours to complete on a first playthrough.

It's great, it's been a while since I've enjoyed such a long western RPG. The length is nice since it's taking so fucking long for Toby to finish the game. Also that means way more great music from Toby.

Well worth the price.

You can probably add 30 more hours for subsequent replays to see alternate dialogues and routes, and this is a great ass deal.

Agreed. I think the per-chapter releases really add to the overall quality. Each chapter can be made better with feedback from released chapters, and so far each one is better than the last IMO. Toby gets ample time to freak the fuck out on the music as well, which is very much appreciated.

It's a little immature, but I'm very attached to this game and I want it to go on as long as possible. I'm far from sick of it, or talking about it.

I saw Sichuan's recent friend video and didn't like it.
Disregarding for my lack of interests in FRIEND/Mike theories, I just don't think there's enough information to make anything interesting that isn't wild speculation, I feel like people cling to the lines about Kris and Catti 'summoning demons' way too much. Mainly because Catti just isn't important to the story, the line is supposed to characterize her and Kris as edgy goths. And flesh out Kris' dynamics with other people a little bit more, you know show his interests.
Honestly, Jockington might be more important than Catti, even then he's not that important compared to Kris, Noelle, Asriel, or Dess. Which this theory reduces the importance of in favor of Catti, a side character with a dozen-something lines of dialogue.

Crack theory: When we make Kris "think about the Knight", he makes an ultra mega mind game by thinking about Jockington in a silly situation, so it looks like Kris is just spamming garbage into his brain.

But because Jockington is in a silly situation, we think. That Jockington here is unrelated and is just a distraction. So we dismiss him completely... While Kris directly thinks about the Knight.

In short: Jockington is the Roaring Knight, Tricky Tony played us like fools...

I heard some people in this thread say they don't like post-chapter 1 Ralsei and Susie
There's this new mod I stumbled across which does keep chapter 1 characters of them for chapter 2.

It's still in development, but if you wanna check it out, it's here

This would kill a tumblr Deltarune fan
