What's crazy is that even other leftists and people who hate Trump are pissed off with stuff like this. Reality is hard for some people, and video games provide an escape from that.
Picturr this: imagine that you're excited to share a cool theory on the subreddit after having worked on it for a while. Maybe your job sucks, maybe you're just having a rough day. Either way you have no energy left for whatever the current thing is. Then you open up r/Deltarune and you see that. You just wanted to share it, and now you're stuck with dumb shit like this.
If you ever feel so enraged at this that you become MATI, it's a valid feeling. Believe me, I'm not even all that conservative, but these faggots, brain rotted with politics, have to keep shoving it up our noses when many just want to enjoy things. Now it might seem disheartening that so many people seem to agree with these types of political messaging, but always remember - it's Reddit, not real life. The more these people tell you to seethe, the more they haven't touched grass.

You damn well know no matter how Toby treats Carol the fandom will bastardize her anyway like they've done half of every other character in the games. She's against Susie and Noelle shacking up, she's automatically enemy #1. It'll be like those weird "PTA-Undertale" fanfics from the early years of the UT fandom but worse.
I honestly feel like I’d be a bit more open to the fanon nonbinary Kris interpretations if the fandom wasn’t such asses and lowkey realize they are using the repackaged gender roles they so claim to hate.
The simple fact is that Kris is ambiguous so players can project onto him. Personally, I think he leans far more to male than Frisk ever did, but still. This is a perfectly fine approach, but this insistence on being a they/them blob is retarded and is something the worst elements of the fanbase take and run with, literally losing their absolute shit and tone policing anybody who dares to use he/him for a character that looks like a boy, dresses like a boy, wears boy armor, fights with a "boy" weapon, and wants to fuck two capital G Girls.
Toby indulging this shit is one of the things I'll always be the most annoyed about with him.
