I suppose the inevitable question is how they're gonna handle the parts where the game deliberately crashes to desktop. Or the save editing, for that matter.

The Collector's Edition is coming out for PC too so I can buy it without completely hating myself.
I'm curious how the game will do on console. The Undertale hype is dead and people remember the autistic fanbase more than they remember the actual game these days. And it wasn't like you needed a specialized gaming computer to play the original PC version.

It will probably get a decent amount of sales from the dedicated fandom and the groups of people that haven't been turned off from the fanbases horrid shit (Like me.)
I'm buying that Collector's Edition, I swear I will. I love this autistic little indie game too much not to, it's the only game that I've ever paid money for the soundtrack.
I'm sick of hearing about this game, in all honesty.
It's got some somewhat clever ideas, but the humor is so... anti-humor, and stuff that would only appeal to 12 year olds in that regard. Add that, then the excessive overhyping, yeah, can't say I'm a fan or would ever drop any of my time into it.
The reason he gave officially was that he really wanted Japanese audiences to experience his game in an easier way than weeding through fan translations for the PC version, and because PC gaming isn't very popular in Japan he got with a publisher that helped him not only get it localized there but also helped him to get it on PS4. Personally I think it's pretty cool, a Japanese game is what inspired him to make games and he's able to have his game finally be available there.
If for no other reason though I'm glad it's getting a PS4 port for that Collector's Edition. That locket alone justifies the purchase for me.
