Kris can canonically walk normally even with the soul out of him, so the hunched over creeper walk is literally just him trying to spook us.

When he thinks we can't see him he just goes back to walking around normally lmao
Unenlightening.
Why can he live without a soul? HOW can he take out his soul? How does he know about the 4th wall?

Can anyone shortly explain to me what the lore of deltatroone is? Mainly I want to know what the general plot is, who these niggers bellow are, what they are doing and how they connect to anything
Some basic explanations of the characters:

The first one is Jevil, he is a crazed man who has been locked away in the basement of a castle, he is the secret boss in chapter 1.

The second one is the dark night, we don't know much about them yet apart from that they create dark fountains (imaginary worlds that are explored by the protagonists).

The third one is just visible in one scene iirc its not relevant.

The fourth one is Spamton, a salesman who is insane, similarly to Jevil, he is the secret boss in chapter 2.

The fifth one is Tenna, he is a game show host and the main antagonist of chapter 3.

The last one is Kris, he is a human who lives in a town filled with monsters, his best friend is Susie and they visit imaginary worlds together. The imaginary worlds are canonically real due to dark magic.

If you want a better explanation of the story I would recommend looking at the Wikipedia page.

How does he know about the 4th wall?
I doubt Kris actually knows he's inside of a video game, he's just aware of the players presence and limitations within his world.

He knows we can't hear him speak, we can only see the world from a birds-eye-view, we can read people's thoughts, he can subvert our commands via malicious compliance, and when he closes his eyes he can send us somewhere else, but at the same time for all we know he just thinks we're some kind of demon that's bound to him and the rules we operate by are only similar to video game logic.

Unless Gaster spilled the beans.

Why's he edging though?
Thank you
according to /v/, the kid in the green shirt was raped by his childhood friend's older sister, whom is the black knight looking figure, so he's getting his revenge by mindbreaking and doebreaking the younger sister into being his murderslave. the green shirt kid's adoptive father, a giant hulking goat man, ran over the older sister which is why she is a knight ghost.

It's actually pretty hard to just give a basic plot summary since the game is structured in a way where many things are implied but haven't been outright said. Basically, there are 4 chapters so far, with 3 more to be released. Each chapter contains it's own "dark world", which is like a place the protagonists go and fight monsters and defeat a boss in order to close the dark world. The antagonist off the story, the roaring knight, keeps opening dark worlds in order to cause the roaring, which is basically the end of the world. There's a prophecy that basically says the world will end, and there's nothing anyone can do about it, so the game has a lot of themes of trying to break that prophecy. The game actually contains heavy christian themes, funny enough. The characters you asked about, Jevil, The roaring knight, friend, Spamtom, and Tenna, all have arcs that are about breaking fate. (except for friend which we know nothing about, anything you see about friend is fan fiction) Jevil seeks his freedom though freedom from consequences, he believes he can do anything because the prophecy is unchangeable, and therefore there are no consequences for his actions. The roaring knight seeks their freedom though causing the end of the world. Spamton seeks his freedom by becoming like the player, escaping the video game, reaching "heaven" (which is the real world in this context). Tenna seeks his freedom through worship, he is a TV and wants to be watched and worshiped forever.

The game is mostly metaphorical, while it does have a baseline narrative, (which is just 3 heroes trying to defeat the roaring knight to stop the end of the world) it's not really what the game is about.

Small correction: The prophecy implies the end of the world will be averted, but will require some kind of sacrifice that's yet to be revealed to the player, which is what some characters want to break the prophecy to avoid.

Yeah, that's true, it does say that the worlds will be saved, but the prophecy also says that it will only happen after the roaring happens.

a terrible calamity would occur.
The sky will run black with terror
And the land will crack with fear.
Then, her heart pounding...
The EARTH will draw her final breath.
Only then, shining with hope...
Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' edge.

If Kris is actually what the vessel ended up as like some people think, then no fucking shit Kris is genderless, we never gave them a gender. Seeing as we got interrupted being put in control of it, maybe the vessel developed a personality of its own and eventually grew into Kris. The equivalent of a human with no gender or genitals. Which is going to be be a problem when its time to impregnate the doe and dinosaur.

Can't be, Kris is nothing like how I designed my vessel in both appearance and personality.

It also can't be the case because the vessel is actually taller than Kris. :smug:

concludes that it can't be said for sure if the gender-neutrally is because that's how Kris identifies socially or if it's because the monsters can't tell his physical sex.
Late response but I actually thought of this before, glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's not too unbelievable Kris was dropped off on the Dreemurr's porch as a baby and it went something like
"Is it a girl or a boy?"
"I don't know, anyone around here understand human anatomy?"
"Alright, we'll figure it out later, let's just say it's a human for now."
Since Toriel borrowed a book about humans from the library instead of asking an actual human, maybe that suggests she didn't want to or couldn't contact one.

Kind of devolved a bit, but so did IBS after all.
Noelle couldn't have been flagging Berdly's video! She was busy moving boulders with her sister.

Kris has apparently studied occult and supernatural shit, including summoning a demon with the fat cat bitch.

The video on the homepage inspired me, so I spent my day off making this, merry Christmas!

So Noelle celebrates Christmas by twerking her fat ass, then actual nazis Kris-Chan and Susie Kazotsky Kick all over her stupid face while calling her a nigga (they can’t say nigger because it’s family-friendly).

I haven’t played Deltarune yet, but how smug is the writing in this game? Because while I enjoyed some of the more fun, low brow aspects of Undertale, Toby Fox is just not a likable author for me. It’s grating to have a Metal Gear Solid type cutscene where his author insert caricature soliloquies me about how I came into this game with predisposed expectations as a video game.

Wait until they find out that UNDERTALE is just Gothic 4

You mean Sans, right?
He's barely in this one.
