I was thinking about that earlier today, and I love how no one likes So Sorry. No one. Almost no fan art (and if I’m wrong, I don’t wanna know about it), and even in group shots with every single monster, it’s either left out or mostly obstructed. Toby technically fulfilled his obligation to make a boss fight of the character and then dropped it as hard as he could.

His inclusion was so unwanted that even Toby was asking his maker to let him refund all his money just to not have to include him in the game.

Acthually! Toby only kept him hidden because the design was related to his fetish content and asked him if he could switch the rewards for Muffets character instead, (Who also had a small controversy because the creator made some risque art of one of her characters that wasn't 1 which is why she's a mandatory fight, and he's not. Toby went back on his word with this with So Sorry basically referencing his own fetish work in the end of pacifist route in the switch version. Got all this info from this vid:

The funniest thing about that is I remember at some point they tried to spin a narrative that Toby was the bad guy somehow. I don't remember how they tried to do that.
