You'd be surprised how big the JP fanbase is for Deltarune, and I mean, Toby ain't a nobody, he's no longer the funny "earthbound hack and homestuck" guy, he's a [BIG SHOT], he has connections, and people probably see him nowadays as the "face of indie gaming" like how they saw Edmund McMillen in the early 10's.

Heck, some people treat him like one of the greatest video game devs of all time. I don't see it, but a lot of people do... which is both inspiring... and terrifying, when you think about it.

I'm just glad he didn't listen to the people he's surrounded himself with that keep telling him to remove or censor shit on the inclusion of spamton. Could you fucking IMAGINE what it'd be like if spamton was fucking axed?

I mean I remember him posting a lot of posts shitting on the (western) Undertale fanbase all over Twitter, like one where he said he developed a patch to delete your OS if you wrote Sans sex stories or something, but sadly he deleted them all and no records because I was nothing but a retarded child when it happened.

The text, you goober. It changes all the instances of people referring to Kris as "them" with "him" (or "her" depending on what patch you pick)

It's honestly kinda funny how literally everything about Kris screams "teenage boy". His name, his appearance, his personality, his hobbies, his behavior etc. are all traits a guy would have. Even his one-off gag costumes are all clearly male in appearance, but people still insist that Toby using ambiguous language magically makes the character 100% non-binary and don't you DARE get it """wrong""".

The fact that Susie is the only one who can match Kris' freak says a lot about how unorthodox she is as a girl, whereas Kris being a fucking creepy gremlin weirdo is pretty standard for a lot of teenage boys. I've known people that were on-par with Kris' weirdness and they were all 100% guys.

The only thing that's not inherently masculine about Kris is the fact he plays piano, but his skin is yellow so I assume that skill just came naturally. :smug:

I still think that referring to Kris as "they" is mostly an allusion to him being two gay niggas: the real nigga Kris and you, nigga.

Which is also funny because if the character was intended to be non-binary definitively, Toby could just come out and confirm it. He would lose literally nothing from doing so, it wouldn't even be a debate. Toby's word is literally the word from god on these characters, so Toby's complete silence on the subject points towards it just being video game ambigousness more than anything else to me.

Ffs he confirmed that the sock-puppet cat character Seam, a random NPC who runs a shop, is canonically non-binary, but he never bothered to clear up the exact same thing about the main character?

Deltarune has been in development since 2012, three years before UT even came out, if Kris was supposed to be a genderspecial then Toby would've said something years ago. These people are all just retarded.


I can see why Toby likes his JP fanbase more.

Is that the reason behind that one song in ch 1 that's called dec, 2012? Also i feel like the deltarune from 2012 was way different than the deltarune we got now.

Speaking of, i know chara was mainly an undertale character but i do wonder if she might make an appearance in CH 5,esp if you do the weird route. It is after all shaping up to take place in asgores flower shop.

I hear that a lot, but I never see any proof. I'd think if that really did happen, the Deltarune Wiki wouldn't need to cite 51 instances of the game and update logs referring to Kris as "they" as some form of insane evidence.
