TL;DR
Early parts of chapter 5 are finished and the latter ones are on a "rough first pass" and about 85% of the cutscenes are done in a first draft state, Toby hopes to start translation by the end of this year and launch chapter 5 by the first half of 2026, there's already some development for enemy bullet patterns for chapter 6, the rest is Toby advertising new merch, his 10th anniversary stream and chilling Homestuck/OFF.

There’s something odd about the Chapter 5 cutscene. The game exclusively follows wherever the soul is, yet this looks like a completely isolated scene. Is the soul gonna go on its own again? Is this weird route-specific as we move between Kris and Noelle?

Also, I appreciate that he said OFF’s remake is an “alternate version” and linked to the original, given how much criticism it’s gotten.

From what one of the characters said it seems like we're behind the door leading into the room, probably looking through a peephole or something.

What? The reddit? Like I said, for a short time after a new chapter comes out they can post some good art and funny comics from time to time, but yeah the majority of posts suck. It is reddit after all.

Also, since no one mentioned it, Toby is going stream Undertale this Saturday and Sunday at 4PM PST. Hoping he fucked with the game like he did when he streamed Deltarune Chapter 1, that was pretty entertaining.

He mentioned he's sick (vaxxed?), which implies he might actually be talking instead of doing text to speech, a bit uncommon for him. Will he exclusively speak Japanese since he hates both his audience and his white piggu skin? We'll have to find out this weekend.

The title isn't even right, the gamedev generation most obsessed with making RPGs about MUH DEPRESHUN are millennials and the kids who grew up watching undertale slop animations on youtube and making retarded tumblr OCs were Zoomers.
