One thing I'm reading. When you're talking to Spamton in his shop and YOU ask about the knight, Kris gives Spamton the stinkeye to get him to shut up.

Speaking of crackhead theories, i once read a theory called the "despite everything, it's still you" theory, claiming that Kris ripping his soul out and doing weird stuff doesn't actually mean Kris is a separate entity from us, but the opposite, that he is trying to cope with his bad decisions like snowgrave by pretending an outer force is controlling him, which is hinted at by the shadow mantle in chapter 3 telling Kris himself is actually enjoying fucking with Noelle. Now, while i could give some credit to this theory pre chapters 3+4, chapter 4 specially fucks up this theory unless you make mental gymnastics about how Kris doing Tom and Jerry shenanigans with the soul is him having a schizo attack, or he took the thorn ring from Noelle just to give it back to her so he could fuck her up even more, but what do you guys think?

Wait.. what if thats noelle or dess on the bottom of the memory head, though that is a human nose bone if im looking at it correctly.

Something insane is going on and the amalgamates are definitely coming back. there are a ton of other faces in memory heads too but I just noticed after looking again. No wonder endogoney species "FRIEND" was featured in chapter 3 if Eram is of the same species as the shadow cats between endogenies legs

(also WHY is two thirds of the fandom SPANISH??? Ive never seen this dynamic before and its hillarious. Some of the spanish drawings are decent which makes it all the funnier that undertale and deltarune dont have an official spanish translation so they all had to learn english or get a youtuber to translate it for them while gaming)

Kris tweaks out as hard as he does on Snowgrave because deep down, a part of him also enjoys what we make him do. He enjoys pushing Noelle around and scaring her, he always has, and that guilt combined with us fucking with her just makes him explode. He's angry at us for using her and angry at himself for getting swept up in it too. It's why he's so desperate to make up for it, breaking free just to run over to Noelle and tell her everything was just a prank and it'll all be fine.

Kris can throw as many tantrums as he likes but deep down he knows he needs us, and he likes the life we give him. No matter how angry he gets, and no matter how many times he rips us out to run away, he always crawls back and shoves us right back in. Even on Snowgrave.

Without us he would still be a creepy nobody with no friends and no life from a broken home. But by handing over control to us he becomes the hero of the story. Cool, strong, popular, flirtatious, not to mention literally the most important person in the world.

We make Kris everything he was too much of a shrinking violet to be on his own, and he fucking likes it. Not that he'd ever admit it. We do something awesome, Kris feels like a badass. We do something horrible, woah hey it's not HIS fault, it's the Soul! It's a pretty neat little emotional setup we have together.


He WILL hug the goat, he WILL cuck Noelle, and he WILL defeat the knight, and he's gonna feel sick as fuck doing it.

You forgot to mention Everyman, who showed up first as a part of Reaper Bird's attacks in Undertale, and then shows up during Jevil's carousel and some other places, too.

The name "Everyman" also struck me as quite interesting as it means a few things and is a very well known play about all of humanity coming to terms with its mortality and going through several trials that take different aspects away, leaving only humanities good deeds. Its also a stock character in fiction used to fill in a role of an unassuming humble character. Im interested to see where he takes the idea hes going with and I look forward to further chapters.

Characters talk about and interact with the Knight when Kris isn't there, so my guess is no. If the Knight was Kris's knife then he wouldn't exist without Kris also being present.

Counter point, in the chapel after Kris gives Susie the knife, Ralsei decides to not go to castle town with Kris. Also the Knight opened a dark fountain to summon the Titan
