same. just beat it a few minutes ago. by some miracle at the second to last turn i used the spincake and dodged the attack perfectly so my party was fully healed just before the final attack

It’s not about “not having his back”, Toby tweeted that people should give YIIK a chance and not judge a book by its cover. After that, the dev went full “everyone who doesn’t like my game is an idiot with zero taste” so Toby quietly removed his tweet.

The tumblr crowd existed long before Undertale, and they would've simply latched onto something else had Fox stuck to making ROM-hacks. Undertale was a focal point, not the cause.

i think its very possible that gaster inserted himself into the undertale timeline using whatever weird ass technology/magic lets him do the things he does. that means hes technically not native to the underground so he could be a human.
he did work directly for asgore as the royal scientist, working on important shit like the core which is crucial for the monsters survival, and this was after the human-monster war so i dont think its too likely they wouldve let him have such a critical position if he wasnt a monster.

This made me wonder if the "darker, darker" note from Gaster in Undertale was from before he even got to the Undertale world, and instead from just going into either the Dark World in Deltarune or some as yet undiscovered (by viewers) even darker world, maybe where even darker creatures like the Roaring Beast / Dess and whatnot go. And the comment about things being interesting and talking to "you two" might have been leading towards going into the Undertale world with Sans and Papyrus.

The prophecy will be going back in time to abort Giygaster in the womb to stop the prophecy from ever starting in the first place :story:

its hard to guess if that note has any further plot significance besides connecting undertale and gaster to the deltarune dark worlds. "you two" is obviously a candidate for a similar kind of big reveal but i get the feeling well have to wait for the rest of this lore at the very least until gasters relationship with "his deltarune" and wtf the "deltarune" even is is explained, which could be at the end of the game
