Favorite songs from the game?
Mine would probably be Your Best Nightmare, Hopes and Dreams, Spear of Justice, Death by Glamour, Waterfall and Bergentrucken

It's Raining Somewhere Else, the main theme Undertale, Fallen Down Reprise, Finale, An Ending, and Don't Give Up are my favorites. I love his more action-y/heroic stuff but Toby really nails somber and bittersweet moods in his music. The flute part in the middle of Undertale gets me every time.

For me it'd have to be (in no specific order):
Megalovania (if you haven't heard the Homestuck and Halloween hack versions check em out), Bonetrousle, Finale, Spider Dance, Amalgam, Here We Are, (that sweet, sweet Cave of the Past sample), Hopes and Dreams, SAVE the World, and Heartache.

Yeah, the soundtrack is THAT Good.

I guess my favorites include The Ruins, Bonetrussle, both variations on the Ghost theme, Metal Crusher, Another Medium, Death By Glamour, Undertale, ASGORE, Your Worst Nightmare, Finale, Hopes and Dreams, Save The World, and of course the credits theme.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I can still be interested in this game even with all the bullshit that comes along with the fandom and others?

Good thing. You're not letting a shitty fanbase ruin a good game for you.
 
I really hope there's another game eventually. I really want to learn more about Gaster in general and his apparent relation to Sans.

 
For those who loved the soundtrack for this game, here's something worth checking out. Norihiko Hibino, the composer for the Metal Gear Solid games, released an easy listening cover album of many songs in Undertale.
