So how we all thinking chapter 5 is gonna go?
Will Asgore be redeemed or will Toby continue to make him a laughing stock?
Will Toby's lesbian fetish continue to butcher Susie's personality?
Will it be an "Eddy's brother" situation where all this time Asriel has been hyped up as this cool guy, but he's actually an asshole?
Will Kris (you) let Asgore die?

Honestly with the way chapter 4 set a new tone for the story, I'm hoping Asgore isn't just the goofy loser that he currently is, especially considering that Carol is financing him to research something (cork boards at the Holiday house and the flower shop), and that Asgore has a shadow crystal.

I'm thinking he's gonna pull some kind of stunt in chapter 5, whether it's opening a dark fountain or doing something within a dark world. Being antagonistic towards Kris is very likely not gonna happen, so I really can't tell what will go down. I just hope it's not primarily to impress Toriel or else this is going to be the most beta cuck soyboy thing ever.

Maybe not a full on asshole, but something like Flowey's personality would be interesting. Maybe he turned cynical ever since Dess disappeared.

When I was a kid I wasn't a sissy fag who cried about a video game ending.
Eh, to be fair the reason I became a fan in the first place is because Undertale did make me emotional. I'd be more offended by crying over fucking Ch4

They may be women or actual children, women cry over fucking everything. The most milquetoast romcom slop gets them sobbing and all hysteric

I mean yeah becoming emotional is one thing but it doesn't mean getting to the point of breaking down crying.

And in Chapter 4's case it feels more like people who start cheering or clapping during a movie or when a plane lands.

Okay I know you Americans clap at the end of movies, but really? When the fucking plane lands? That's amazing lol

Undertale did make me emotional
Only game ending I remember getting emotional/teary eyed about when I was a kid was the FFX ending.
With most games; UTDR included; it does feel like the fanbases like to play up how emotional/deep the games are.
Like if you go to any game vid where something "tragic" in game happens you're 100% gonna find multiple comments like:
"15:28 gosh I remember when I first got to this part, I had to take a 2 week break because i cri evrytime"

Case in point...

And yes I know it's a soytendo example, but the point still stands. Like did this person really scream "reach her"? God I hope not, and I choose to believe not.
Probably not, but he's saying he did for 2 reasons.
1. Upvotes.
2. Sell the game to others as an emotional masterpiece.

Funny that you mention FFX, I beat the HD version yesterday.

FFX was one of my childhood games. I remember being maybe 12 or 13 and being completely stuck on one of the fights with Sin (the bullshit airship fight where you HAVE to kill him in like 10 turns or it's just game over fuck you), and I never knew what happened next.

The ending was great, emotional and it meant a bit for me to finally beat this wonderful childhood game, but it wasn't to the point where I'm teary eyed. I guess I'm just older.

As for chapter 4, I thought it was amazing, memorable and a fascinating turning point, but not something to start crying over.

Absolutely, it's 100% children, women and the deeply autistic. I think it's getting worse honestly, or maybe they're just more vocal.

Case in point: the trannies that transitioned because of fucking Celeste. The whole game is a simple metaphor of the protagonist climbing a mountain. It's not that deep at all, but the devs retroactively changed the story to be an allegory for becoming trans, and this is apparently the big turning point for the perpetually online to start shoving dirty needles full of estrogen. I'll never understand.

Imagine your life being so finicky that a fucking VIDEO-GAME changes you.

Imagine your life being so finicky that a fucking VIDEO-GAME changes you.
>this video game changed my life
Anyone who says that belongs on a watchlist. I also find it funny because the people who say that are the exact same people who say "VIOLENT VIDEOS GAMES DON'T CAUSE VIOLENCE"
Like which is it nigga? Did video games change your life which means they 100% can make you a more violent person. Or are you just a faggot saying shit you don't mean for attention?

Not sure whether genuine autistic hyperfixation or consoomers trying to make a product™ their personality

Mainstreaming nerd culture was a mistake, before 2010 if you dared to tell people you have special knowledge in anything other than sportsball you would be mercilessly mocked and treated like shit, then nerd culture became "cool" out of nowhere and now everyone tries to cosplay one

If we map Deltarune onto the traditional 3-act structure, which it certainly feels like it's using, I would say that Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 comprised the first act, Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 comprise the first half of the second act, and Chapter 5 will comprise the second half of the second act, (leaving 6 and 7 to comprise the final act)

With this in mind, my predictions for Chapter 5 are that we'll get some resolutions to some questions we've had from the start, but the big answers will only be teased at the end of the chapter.

If I were to wildly speculate I'd say we'll probably find out more about what the Knight actually wants, why Kris keeps separating from the soul, some kind of Noelle-related escalation (different depending on which route you're on), and maybe we'll find out what Susie saw at the end of the prophecy.

Chapter 5 may be the "false victory / real setback" point of the story, The tone will probably darken, in traditional structure this is the point where the question "what is this story really about"? gets answered.

Expect the setup for the ending arc of the game to happen at the end of Chapter 5.

Also I expect some kind of meta-joke about flowey to happen at some point since there will almost certainly be flower-based darkners in chapter 5.
