Although I fully expect the Tories to win, and think that is prolly for the best at this point in history.
I really really really enjoyed phillip Hammond being evicerated by John Humphys on the Today prog yesterday morning.

After claiming all the labour capital spending programmes where going to "cost the taxpayer billions and billons and trillions" The wascally Welshman innocently asked "So what is the prospective spend on HS2 and how were you planning to pay for it?"

Hearing the Chancellor of the exchequer literally using the "its different when we do it" arguement was comedy gold. Shame Terri is going to sack him.

anyway, as you were.

Watching politicians get cut apart by journalists is always a classic and fun moment. My personal favourite was from 2015 when the leader of the Great British Communist Party claimed that he would make Britain like Cuba, the camera then cut to Andrew Neil's disbelieving face.

Okay, that bit about Corbyn reshuffling his cabinet until they all agreed with him made me laugh.

I'd give that a 5/10, not quite up to par with last time's effort.

We did change the tune, we replaced the Eton set with a grammar school taught vicar's daughter.

They did it again on the Daily Politics today as well, when some Socialist Workers Party bloke was on with a County Cork accent stating how "Socialism is der twenty forst century. Capitalism is der nointeent century and caused hearm and misory."

It was like they'd picked the most random swampy off of the street, cleaned him up and given him a copy of Marx's book.

Socialism? Twenty first century?

No, it's as 20th century an ideology as you can get. Capitalism works because it can change and evolve. Marx could never have envisaged Keynes or Friedman popping up.

Well, yes, and even then it's because of how idiotically basic capitalism can boil down to.

Make thing, sell thing, use agreed currency to buy more things.

To be fair, Marx's ideology worked at a time of ruthless lockouts, leg breaking, lost arms and indifferent factory owners.

It was also cut short by major employers like the railways who used position, prosperity and providing housing (as Arkwright did a century and a half earlier) to buy loyalty of their workers for decades at a time.

One thing that comes to mind is while Labour would lose with these numbers if they manage to get a larger percentage of the vote than they did in the last general election (30.4%) it could make it harder for them to get rid of Corbyn if he and Momentum are determined to stay until another general election comes round.

did some political activism today
this isn't actually me this is a joke because of the same forename and area

A man has been arrested after protesting against fox hunting as Theresa May arrived at a campaign event in Wrexham.

The Prime Minster has said in the Tory manifesto that she will allow MPs a free vote on repealing the fox hunting ban.

When the Prime Minister drove up to the community centre, he played a hunting bugle and shouted ‘save our wildlife, kill May’.

Connor continued to shout as officers carried him away to nearby police vans.

‘This is the fascist state that we are living in under Theresa May’s regime,’ he yelled.

I got quite possibly the worst election leaflet today. Clearly a piece of folded A4, all rambling about corrupt officials and worst of all, Comic Fucking Sans! I know Independents don't have as much financial clout, but even then this was terrible.

Scan and upload at once. The person behind it may be threadworthy.

If this surge carries on Corbyn will soon be as popular as Brown.

Sorry for the delay, the bombing distracted me.

Here's the leaflet, I can type out what it says if needs be and the guy has also doxed himself nicely on it.

That is brilliant, i got one through earlier in the week- 'why vote for X? Why not? He's a nice guy' the remainder of the flyer detailed that he was a local lad and had a casual rant against the international bankster conspiracy slipped in at the end.

That has to be the ugliest pamphlet I've ever seen. I'm honestly not sure if it's brilliant in its execution for being so atrocious that you can't help but remember it or the result of :autism: behind a copy of microsoft word. What on earth is he even doing with the word spacing and formatting on the very back panel? This was no accident; it takes a great deal of time to make a pamphlet look like this awful.
