in the good ole us of a, there were two incidents involving guns on campus today.

one at TSU and ASU.

turn that timer back to zero.
The Arizona shooting was at Northern Arizona University which is in Flagstaff, not at ASU.

Additionally, it isn't really a spree shooting in the way that the recent Roseburg shooting was. Members of two different fraternities got in a fight at 1 am last night, and one of the guys involved ran to his car, got his gun, and came back and shot them.

The shooting took place on the northernmost edge of campus next to the Greek dorm. All sororities and fraternities except one are housed in that one big dorm building. The only one that isn't is Delta Chi which has an off campus house just a little ways down the street. As far as I've heard, the dead and wounded were all members of Delta Chi. The street and parking lot where the shooting took place are the midpoint between the two fraternities. The Delta Chi house has had previous issues, including a drug-related shooting a few years back.

This beta uprising fad sure is catching on. It does a great job at showing just how useless these people are.

I mean, that's a lousy ass bodycount right there.
If there really is a beta uprising then holy fuck. This is the worst way to show the world 'we're not gonna take it, anymore'.

It does seem kinda strange and unnerving how many shootings there have been lately.

It's almost like you yanks need to make it harder for people to get guns... nah that's a ridiculous idea!

This is really lousy. If there's any good that comes out of this, it's that something has to give, and that gun control is likely it. At least in some form.

Every major school shooting spawns a range of copycat events, depending on the situation. After Columbine High, there were copycat incidents or threats of some sort in every state except Vermont, at least within the months soon after.

It kind of has a "Whoa that's cool, I wanna do that too!" kind of effect on people who are predisposed to doing these kinds of things.

This is more like a shooting that happened to be at a school rather than a school shooting.

Dude. Shootings should not happen at schools period. How this has just become a thing in America is insane.

Have you ever spent time in an American public school? I have, and it does kind of give you some insight as to why someone would do this.

I don't know a single person in America who actually liked being in one!

Oh, so where in America should people be shooting each other?

Paintball and laser-quest ideally. Just saying man, being like "This wasn't a school shooting, just a shooting at a school" seems really glib.

Murders happen all the time. In a country filled with guns, I'd expect many of those murders to be committed with guns. Occasionally some of them might happen on school grounds.

This is just regular murder, not a rampage shooter.

It's only referred to as a "school shooting" here when the school and students themselves are targeted. Everything else is technically not counted.

Isn't it illegal to have guns on campus though? Like, why aren't these gun control laws working?
