On Monday, the Department of Commerce, as directed by President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order on Preventing Online Censorship, filed a petition to clarify the scope of Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act. The petition requests that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) clarify that Section 230 does not permit social media companies that alter or editorialize users’ speech to escape civil liability. The petition also requests that the FCC clarify when an online platform curates content in “good faith,” and requests transparency requirements on their moderation practices, similar to requirements imposed on broadband service providers under Title I of the Communications Act. President Trump will continue to fight back against unfair, un-American, and politically biased censorship of Americans online.

The conservatives will do what it has always done, constantly retreat. Just like they are doing now with BLM.

The conservative establishment has abandoned real conservative values and platforms for social liberalism. And whenever they fail in the defense of the front page issue, they retreat and pretend like it was good they were defeated. This is what they did with gay marriage. When was the last time conservatives in Congress made any real effort to try and reverse gay marriage, or even denounce it? Instead now we have TPUSA saying how real conservatives are faggot niggers who want to die for ZOG.

on the plus side this EO means that bill Null was sperging about is dead in the water. its not even up for the senate vote yet* and that means there is no way in hell it gets passed before elections their best shot is with a lame duck congress, but i highly doubt a trump-issue like that is going to be seen as high priority then.

*the senate only has 4 more weeks (20 days) left before elections, today tomorrow and then september.

i'm not saying he was wrong, just that it was obvious 80 years ago. its like whining that the globtrotters are making the generals look like a bunch of spinless worthless retards. Coulter brought up a good point, the presidency has been in the hands of the GOP for almost 2/3rds of the last 50-ish years. and they've done relatively jack shit with all the powers at their disposal especially compared to the Dems. even during the rare times they had a trifecta or control of congress, they don't do shit compared to dems especially when it comes to passing bills or other congressional duties.

hell even political funding, the Dems have way more people willing to put their money where their mouth is compared to the GOP. honestly there is no reason to not believe the US wouldn't be better off if the GOP never bounced back after Hoover in 1932. (especially if you're an accelerationist).

at minimum we'd be at the same place social justice wise, but 48 years ago, before any of us were born. so we wouldn't be the ones suffering through this shit.

I think that the best explanation for why this is comes from Ted Kazynski's analysis of Leftists. Leftists are politically offensive in their strategies because it is entertainment for them. They do to have a sense of power. And people need to feel like they have some power in order to be happy and function as a human being.

Conservatives however do the opposite. They want to be left alone and not bothered.
