Even if I don't like everything he's written, part of why I like and respect PKD is that he was a consumate, professional writer. He would take an idea and explore it in one direction, then do another story exploring that idea in the complete opposite direction.

His ideological consistency was "what does the story demand?" And would for a dozen more writers who practice such.

Why do they need a draft when the page they had a decade ago was fine as it was? It covered the hilarious shit FATAL had and linked you to that classic review in case you wanted more and you got to learn all about rolling for anal circumference and all that.

The draft will be "revisions" that would never mention any of that and go for a safe way to mention the entire thing. Never expect TVT to do even the simplest of jobs right.

So TVTROPES used to have the category for "anvilicious" aka VERY SPECIAL EPISODE WITH A MESSAGE because such had the subtlety of having an anvil dropped on your head. Reefer Madness would be a great example of anvilicious. Many poorly made religious films (and I say this as a religious bot) as well.

Well they then started doing "some anvils need to be dropped" for stuff like "slavery is bad, mmmkay?" Well after awhile it had just became the equivalent of a rubber stamp for "I LIKE THIS MESSAGE" in whatever show or movie was being discussed. ESPECIALLY if it involved anything related to the alphabet crew.
