I have a question that just popped into my head a few minutes ago, is there a TVTropes page on the Emoji Movie? Like, an unironic one where they detail everything as if it were like good or some shit?

They think it's an unironic evil plot to get kids addicted to their smartphones. Dead serious.

First off I'm a pretty dry and boring person who actually found [Elizabeth Warren's] hyper-technical approach naturally appealing
Well, hypertechnically she is a Native American.

So I decided to look at Tvtropes for something entertaining. Who would have thought the opening page would have it for me.

Some really weird values dissonance. The benevolent alien idea is weird today because most other movies about aliens have them as bad guys???Tropers do know that so far no alien encounters have happened so all speculations on aliens as being good/bad are equally valid. And apparently whoever edited that forgot about Contact and Arrival two movies with critical acclaim and also benevolent aliens.
And the whole dad abandoning kids to go into space is horrendous.I don't know but if my dad left me when i was a kid to go into space with some aliens even as a kid i would have been ecstatic knowing my dad was visiting other worlds i wouldn't hold it against him as a 'why did you leave me dad?' moment. In this context of being given the galaxy something tells me family might not be as important. Its debateable but still.Maybe people should try not to overthink fantasy based ideas into real life since they cannot apply pretty much by default.

Tropers have daddy issues I guess.

I never got the 'Nightmare Fuel' section for GTA Vice. Everything in that article can't be listed as even remotely creepy. C'mon, this game is 18+ for a reason.
