Hey now, The Matrix is my all time favorite movie, so I take offense to it getting bashed.
In all seriousness though, I do get that it has flaws (all films do), but I still consider it to be an A+ masterpiece. The less said about the sequels though, the better. And this is coming from someone who actually thinks that Speed Racer 2008 was a really underrated film, and that The Matrix 4 could still impress (though that's do to having two acclaimed novelists helping Lana on the script).
