This would never get written in modern TVTropes. Just imagine the shitstorm if the first one was written about Rey (even though it's 1000000% true).

I finally found the Maylasia fag, Ramchyld

Tropers can't comprehend that unattractive looking people can attract the opposite sex without having the face of a super model

My favorite is this:

I may not have watched him when i was little, but it sucks we don't get people like him these days in fact today, he would be treated with suspicious if he was alive now. He'd be labeled as pedo from the media today for arbitrary reason #3426
I actually work with a super nice old man named Roger who offers little girls free popsicles. I always feel so bad that I have to explain to the parents for him that he actually does have popsicles and that he's genuinely just a sweet old man.

Tv tropes are again babies who cant handle anything slightly adult:
Seven Soldiers by Grant Morrison:

They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: This trope seems to be one of the themes of Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers. Many interesting characters and ensembles are introduced and then killed, corrupted or deconstructed without really living up to their narrative potential, usually with Lampshade Hanging or meta-commentary on the comics industry accompanying it.
  • A lot of readers actually liked the Sacrificial Lamb team in Seven Soldiers #0, and were sad when they died at the end.
  • Newsboy Army of Nowhere Street and the Knights of Broken Table go down with their deeds left unsung.
  • Ironically, this happened to many of the main characters themselves. Then again, Morrison might have expected it...

The whole series is about the shady, sad world of z-list superheros who do all sorts of crazy stuff like exposing themselves to radiation to try and get superpowers, or attempting to fight opponents way out of their league to try and show off to the justice league. Leave it up to tv tropes to get upset any time a story is slightly dark or complex

Btw, apparently many of the tropers were really behind Warren as the nominee, and were quite bummed out that she chose to drop out of the race. A few choice responses as to why:

"She came off as easily the most competent of the bunch, having generally comprehensive plans to achieve the various left/liberal goals."

"I heard a person who "had a plan for that", had history building institutions, and, this may seem small, but actually thought about the State Department. She made it easy to pick out the most competent of the field (herself of course), and then to actually vote for a candidate instead of against the other guy. The news stories about Wall Street being terrified of her was just gravy. And this is an overview, made of a collection of overviews."

"First off I'm a pretty dry and boring person who actually found her hyper-technical approach naturally appealing, and for whom charisma has less of an effect than it does on most people. But also she combined progressivism and pragmatism the best out of the candidates when I felt the rest of them either leaned too much on one at the expense of the other or just plain had neither. She felt like someone who learned well from 2016 in terms of balancing those two branches. Also, Bernie But Better is not wrong. I liked a lot about Bernie's agenda, I do think that he indirectly helped push my ideology leftward, and he himself isn't even that extreme-left, but the man is not very bright in so many crippling ways that make it hard for me to support him unconditionally. Early-campaign Warren picked up the ball he dropped and ran circles around him in many of these very ways."

Thoughts?

They like her because she reminds them of themselves smug, progressive, and “technical” ie autistic

It's scary that the shows for preschoolers have the most comprehensive cataloging of tropes and stuff. Also, anyone who tries to conflate woke shit with H*R deserves death.

Expect every toddler show to have someone screaming "WHY ISN'T THIS AVAILABLE IN *southeast asian shithole*??"

More humor from Quantum Leap at the harsher in hindsight and values dissonance part.I'm trying to wrap my head around the 'rape' part since its a show about leaping into past people and not entirely sure how this contributes to 'rape culture'.

hope im not late here, but there is a paragraph talking about republicans in the "politics" section of the "Springtime for Hitler" article that goes on for way too long

Who would have guessed that a trope with "Hitler" in the title that allows real-world examples would lead to off-topic rambling about the Republican party?
