Good example of hilarious in hindsight: Atari being a powerful megacorp in the world of Blade Runner but in reality ended up getting curbstomped by pretty much everyone else from the third generation of consoles onward. Until it was essentialy as funtional as Casca post Eclipse pre recent chapters.

Bad example: Character x in Movie Y says something that is slightly reminiescent of the plot of a much later work.

Well, the series has been kind of easy lately. It's just that the devs aren't including 700+ species of monsters in one game is setting everyone off.

It's more than that, but I'm not gonna be super autistic and go into all the details here, but the gist of it is that the story is really short, the graphics and animations are lame, and everything is just super rushed.

Gen 1: 151 sprites loaded up on a tiny ass dinky cartridge with music and a big ass map, and all kinds of nice shit, huge amount of content for what at the time you expected to be fucking pac man.

Gen 2,3: Same, but now with color, better animations, wierd gimmicks no one really fucking wants. Like oowiiieee I can make a base if I teach my pokemon this shity HM and walk up to a tiny rock. I mean I fucking loved that, but whatever. End game content.

Diamond and Pearl: Okay, still no better story or actual RPG mechanics but theres still a ton of content, also they managed to patch in all the pokemon and have a FUCK TON of late game content that makes you feel like a proper badass. Well, for a pokemon game. Fuck off I literally imprisoned a chaos god and walked him around town. That counts for something.

Later games: Okay not many improvements but hey they got 3d models, I guess they are limited by their engine and the games not $60 anyway

NEW GAME

Brand new engine. First pokemon console game. They've lost half the pokemon. Including a huge chunk of starters. The new environments look like the background of a shitty unity porn game. Still no actual rpg elements, and the models are ripped from the 3ds. For all intents and purposes, this is what you would expect to see from a hack claiming he had obtained an early version of the game when he really made it in unity.

One could say that the environments are eating up a lot of memory, but Zelda exists and it's little bit shitty when comes to render NPCs when you're on a horse. Otherwise, botw looks better than your usual Zelda game.

A lot of these aren't even remotely scary. Maybe some of the lyrical content can be be disturbing, but everything ERB does is purely played for comedy and yet whatever users wrote this pretended like these were actually supposed to be scary moments. I can understand making a Nightmare Fuel page for a children's show or movie with scenes that would be frightening to a young child, but what sane adult genuinely gets scared at Epic Rap Battles of History?

Also the "Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton" submission was definitely written by someone with TDS.

Speaking of nightmare fuel in children's shows, I can remember a time when the only mention of The Real Ghostbusters on the Western Animation Nightmare Fuel page was made by someone who was freaked out by the episode where Egon turns into a were-chicken. There's something wrong with you if thats the first thing to pop into your head when trying to think of what the scariest RGB episode was.

Seriously? You have shit like Samheim and the Boogieman who were legitimate threats in the early (good) seasons, and you choose Chicken Egon from one of the shit seasons?

Nightmare Fuel means nothing anymore when these are the standards it has.
