I was friends with a number of regulars, though, and somehow got into a Discord server ran by a couple of them. I got out as fast as I could, and without any parting words, once I noticed that things reeked of SJW-ism. Haven't got on the forums/TVTropes-affiliated Discords since.

Also, like many in this thread, I noticed that "tropers" seem to latch to "edgy" deconstruction BS, e.g. Evangelion, and the like. I honestly wonder why. Probably because it's their brand of "subversive", although I'm not quite sure.

I've noticed that too when I lurk the site but I think tropers latch onto that stuff to make themselves feel more smart and mature than others
 
I meant to talk about my brief encounters of Adric after a few posts, but it seems that I crashed early last night. Anyway, here we go.

I only heard bits of this from some TVT people in my time of hanging out in affiliated discords (yes, even the biggest spergs are sick of them) of the most infamous things that they did was sperg out at hard-shelled tacos. We all know the schtick that Adric was a TRUE AND HONEST!!1 “latinx” (debatable), and they thought that certain type of taco was cultural appropriation at its worst, or some hogwash.

So, one day, while a conversation was going on, the topic of the conversation shifts to food. And, well, someone brought up hard-shelled tacos.

At that moment, they pretty much went ballistic about how it wasn’t “real Mexican cuisine” and something something cultural appropriation, and a few people had to tell them to chill out over it. Needless to say, that didn’t work out.
Ironically enough, this one happened in a drama-free TVT server. This time, Adric got someone banned.
When a rather heated political conversation was going on, another user said something that was by all means a harmless cold take, but seemed to strike a nerve in our least-favorite sperg. Alas, they screeched for the other person to be banned, and claimed that she was acting racist.

The guy who ran the server, fearing the firestorm of exceptionality that would happen if he didn’t ban the user who said the take, unfortunately banned her, and Adric got away with shit scot-free.

Somehow, a while later and in a turn of events, Adric got banned and the girl was invited into the server again, with the server owner guy offering a sincere apology. In turn, Adric tardraged at him through DMs, but that was dealt with.

There's Fallout: Equestria or whatever which is linked on almost every page (IIRC alongside some W40K/MLP crossover) which is a bunch of edgy shit about ponies being tormented in some grimdark world.
 
Oh yeah, one more thing — I’m just gonna type this out before I forget. The TVT-affiliated discords have specialized NSFW and venting chats. As one would expect, things often got disproportionately heated.

In one of them (specifically in the server I was in for a long while) someone was outed as a nonce. The drama went on for days, and I think someone even threatened suicide. It was insane.

Their (his?) handle was “Adannor”, if I’m not mistaken. They were one of those people that were fine with posting drawn cheese-pizza.
One day, they vocally admitted it, and from that moment on the server was a warzone for a couple days.

On another note, there’s also the vent drama with a surprisingly sizable amount of suicide-baiting (one of those drama-bombs ended up with someone calling the cops, IIRC) and I’ll get to that if anyone asks for specific details.

That's what I was referring to. I recall there was a scene in that where a pony somehow masturbated with its hooves while vomiting everywhere. Disgusting even by fetish porn standards.

And that's not even getting into its spinoff, Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons. There's literally one gratuitous rape scene per chapter, and multiple characters merging to become one because the author has a Nina Tucker fetish.

Only one of those I know is the MLP one. I don't think that's a problem at all.
