The forums discussing Persona 5 and its supposed writing failures is nothing short of hilariously sad:

The fact he made a reasoned, civil argument on a topic that frankly should have been allowed to be discussed so long they could remain civil disappoints me.
Dude, where have you been in the past few months?

Criticising the SJ movement like that is akin to being an alt-right troll.

I was speaking in general.

I don't if we really need TV Tropes to have massive debates about politics and sexism IRL when it has no relation to to the topic of troping, or even if we needed a debate on the topic of social justice going too far on a troping site in any capacity.

But I'm just disappointed that since they committed themselves to having a forum, there are no better than the other walled gardens like REEEsetera and Something Awful that we also cover.

I guess I'm just spoiled on the Farms where, for good or ill, we could discuss that topic and it would be allowed so long as we did it in the proper subforum.

wait, what's the deal about Orwell saying 1984 was a critique of homosexuals? Not saying it isn't real, just have never heard it before

The only mention of homosexuality in 1984 was that proles could get away with it in prison if they had a mind to, though apparently whatever did while not in prison was of little concern so long as it posed no threat to the Party, including whatever sexual behaviors they cared to indulge.

It was only Party members who were in deep shit, no matter WHAT they wanted to, with even sex for procreation tightly regulated.
