I'm surprised you didn't post the image of Femto raping Casca into a potato.
Tropers actually think these are "controversies".
- Adaptational Decay. For example, the differences between the book and The Film of the Book.
- Bowdlerization of a work.
- Executive Meddling.
- Changes to the work that don't sit well with the audience.
- Actual or perceived cultural appropriation.
- A work with a hardcore cult or Geek following becomes mainstream, and as such tries to cater to that more mainstream audience instead of the original fandom.
- A work that is satirical in nature is taken at face value.
- A Cultural Translation that comes off as more of a Macekre.
- Mass recasts, especially abrupt ones.
- A work that may have been well received at the time it was released hasn't aged well, and instead becomes dated and/or offensive.
- It got panned by a critic who didn't like it, found it distasteful, or just had a bad day.
- A work, episode, scene, etc. receives a severe and widespread negative reception.

Tropers actually think these are "controversies".
(On a side note, it's painfully hypocritical how they have a page dedicated to shaming following critics' every word on what does and doesn't suck, when they do this themselves without a hint of irony.)
- Some felt Nanako coming back to life was a bit of a Writer Cop Out. If she stayed dead, it would have given more gravity to the scenes when the Investigation Team confronted Namatame and Adachi, and it'd drop the harsh, but realistic message that even heroes aren't perfect.
And that is one of the major problems with TV Tropes. Their rules are way too flexible, which often leads to all these godawful YMMV pages becoming bloated with non-examples and general re.tardation.Their rules are so flexible no wonder their lists are so long.
TVTropes, now with casual racism for no reason. Rather surprised that said troper didn't get the hammer, then I realized the website is basically a dictatorship.https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/OneDayAtATime2017
"Fuck wh*te p*ople!"
Amazing this page used to be even MORE exceptional

Elena: Ever since a certain someone called us all murderers and rapists, people think they can say whatever racist thing pops into their head.
- The episode "Strays" has an obvious and explicit pro-immigration message. But given that the shows's co-writer and most of the actors are from Latin American immigrant families (with Rita Moreno being a first-generation immigrant herself), and that it was made in a time when anti-immigrant racism in the USA was on the rise (especially with the presidential campaign and subsequent election of Donald Trump), it's hard to blame them for wanting to drop that anvil.
- "The Turn" emphasizes just how awful things have gotten for Latinx people in America since the 2016 election, with anti-Latinx sentiment becoming much more socially acceptable and obvious.

- Guns are dangerous, from "Locked Down." For every argument in favour of bearing them, there are ten reasons not to.
- "Hold, Please" focuses on the horribly inadequate VA system to get medical assistance for war injuries.

- "Hello, Penelope" emphasizes the importance of taking anti-depressants and properly dealing with depression and anxiety by showing Penelope going off of her meds and quitting therapy and the resulting breakdown. It also makes a point of saying that if someone you love is suffering from a mental illness, you need to remember that just because you don't understand why they're feeling anxious, depressed, lonely, hopeless, or frightened, it doesn't mean that it isn't real for them.

Yep, needs its own thread.
Who else would it be, because I'm sure it isn't a Mexican.Bet you $30 the writer is a self loathing whitey.

Cuddle Me Lambie, Mobile Clinic and School of Medicine are technically this in Malaysia because not only they're released several months late (in Mobile Clinic's case, half a year late- since Mobile Clinic's release in Malaysia was initially substituted for the Asia-only A Little Cuddle Goes A Long Way), but so far it's only been released as part of the EzyDVD line. To wit, this line is an atrocity because not only are the subtitles hardwired and cannot be turned off (which is acceptable if it was a VideoCD release where subtitles are not part of the specifications, but these are DVDs, which have the luxury of subtitles and captioning built in), the movie only has an English language soundtrack. This contrasts against the "premium" release which the last three DVD releases got (which does have multiple language subtitles th
I wish I could be more surprised that that text-wall of reeing was about a literal baby show.Curious about what "atrocity" that troper was talking about I google the shows' names:

Yup. Having to read subtitles on these is "atrocity" indeed.

Apparently the X-men are not progressive enough.https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/XMenFirstClass Some unfortunate implications include the fact that the professor apparently only bought female mannequins during the training montage.
Literal crying over something most viewers probably don't even notice when they're watching the show. Tropers should leave the fucking house every once in a while instead of overanalysing everything they're watching to find the tiniest things to complain about.Apparently the X-men are not progressive enough.https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/XMenFirstClass Some unfortunate implications include the fact that the professor apparently only bought female mannequins during the training montage.
