While I do admit that most modern Oscar winners (and nominees) are usually pretentious indie bullshit that the average American doesn't watch or enjoy, I also admit that weebshit and especially capeshit do not belong anywhere near an Academy Award.

I had to look up what this movie even was since I had never heard of it. Even if the judges never watched it, I'm pretty certain they would not have cared about it since the majority of anime is still niche. Even the ones that are considered great by mainstream standards, like Akira and Grave of the Fireflies, were never nominated. The only one I can think of that was nominated for Best Animated Feature is Spirited Away.

There's no need to be asshurt because the Oscars passed over your weeb shit.

The Mysterious Mr. Enter: In Layman's Terms, the moral is if you’re being bullied, you should just go to an adult and they’ll make everything okay, even though the adult in this situation, Applejack, did absolutely nothing throughout the whole episode. You know like when she probably saw Apple Bloom sleeping on the floor. I wonder how insulting this moral is to victims of bullying whose adults in their life could not or would not do jackshit to stop their bullying problem. And yes, it happens, more often than you think, and more often than episodes like this would have you believe... So what's the one-size-fits-all solution? There is none. No two bullying situations are the same, and pretending that there's one answer that can solve it all really pisses me off. People, children and teens have been driven to suicide because the adults in their life would not or could not do anything about bullying. And suggesting that taking a stand against your bullying makes you a bully as well makes this awful moral even more difficult to stomach. Yes, telling an adult is the first thing you should do, but that's never where it ends. Ever.

Super Smash Bros. added Dark Pit as a playable character. He's both liked and disliked for a myriad of reasons, but a couple fall under this trope:

People against his inclusion deride him for being a Darker and Edgier version of Pit, claiming he's a sad attempt at trying to create a "cool" character by making a dark counterpart to the cheerful Pit.

Some people for him like him for those same reasons, thinking he legitimately is cooler, liking the darker color scheme and more threatening voice and personality.

But anyone who's actually played Kid Icarus: Uprising knows exactly what Dark Pit is: a parody of Darker and Edgiercharacters, especially "dark" counterparts to characters, which is why he has such an uninspired name. He picks fights with Pit for no real reason, and is constantly made fun of for his uncaring attitude, and it's made abundantly clear he's as much as a dork as Pit is despite supposedly being a "dark" version of Pit, if not more so for trying so hard to act like he's better than Pit is. Of course, Smash makes no attempt to illustrate this, being a fighting game where characters spend more time jumping around than talking.

Or, you know, he's hated for being a blatant recolor that was given his own character slot.
