Didn't Ethan apologize for getting the WSJ story wrong? I'm pretty sure if he wanted to spread propaganda he wouldn't outright say that he was wrong.

I get that Darth Wiki is "just for fun," but seriously, what the fuck is this page?

It's ostensibly satirically giving ridiculous reasons for things being "NSFW" but it kind of reads like they started having some sort of meltdown halfway through writing it.

Also, most of their "hilarious" examples amount to "this cartoon animal is naked/doesn't wear pants." Hey, you know what's hilarious and original? Pointing out that Donald Duck is naked from the waist down!

See, if you just start making shit up, it’s probably only gonna show how much of an aspie you are. They could’ve said that EEnE wasn’t appropriate for kids because the Eds were always thinking of new ways to scam people, and that would teach kids to be criminals or something. Is it funny? No, not really. But it at least makes sense in the context of what they’re trying to do on this page.

Rule of thumb with TV Tropes. No matter how bad the actual Trope pages are...The forums will always be worse. Always. Because ironically enough the :autism: on the Tropes/Pantheon Et cetera has been at least somewhat filtered. On the forums however... That shits straight from the source. Thus the Sperging, Salt and Salty Sperging.
 
I watched The Room with some friends once, and when it got to the part where Tommy shoots himself, one of them said matter-of-factly, "well at least it has a happy ending."

Change that to autists and you'd be more accurate.

But there is a reason this happened and TV Tropes is to thank for it.

Tv Tropes being a hugbox is so well known that reactions like the above are common because All The Tropes is NOT a hugbox and hence I get ragey bullshit like this quite a bit because ATT refuses to let autists smear their shit all over the walls without consequences.

Wikia in general tends to encourage this sort of crap, but most of my more autistic users are runoff from TV Tropes who got kicked out and want me to be their rebound, and I'm even less tolerant of their shit.
