So TVTropes have decided to start being a dick to people who use adblockers.

I am very lucky my Random Page hit one with a gigantic middle finger on it, though you can't see it behind the Linkara special. Turn off that pesky adblock! (Never mind the fact that all the advertisements will make your browser fucking chug!)
Update your Ublock Origin filters, they've already provided a fix to it.

Trope humor is sort of like meme humor.

It's basically hey, I know Thing! You know Thing too! Ha ha how funny!

The scientific term for this is "random-access humour". I hear Punchy Sonichu is a master of it.

There does seem to be a trend for autists to substitute references for jokes. You see it a lot in the TGWTG videos they love so much.

Going back to their "getting crap past the radar" pages, here's the image they use for their Ed Edd 'n' Eddy page:
jimmy_boogie_6493.PNG

Yeah, a character dancing. How'd they get away with THAT!?

Some other "examples" from the page:

They mention the episode where they try to figure out where Ed hid Eddy's magazines. That episode WAS pretty racy, considering the strong implications that they were pornographic magazines. What weren't racy, though, were some of the examples TV Tropes gives:
  • And let's not forget about this exchange:
Edd: I'm having a hard time ascertaining the clues from Ed's copious contaminants. A moment please, read a magazine or something.
Eddy: Read a magazine? I would if I knew where Ed hid em!
Edd: Oh, you READ those?
  • When Eddy says that Kevin wants the magazines for his own viewing pleasure, Eddy balls his fists and they shake, making odd squishing sounds.

Moving on:
Let's not forget about this line from Ed in "Pop Goes the Ed".
Edd: Do you feel hot?
Ed: Nah, I'm half-baked.
  • Happens again in "See No Ed" when Rolf is trapped under a pile of bananas.
Rolf: The weight of the bananas is crushing Rolf's apples!
Rolf's whole character is that he's a foreigner with weird sayings and customs. With that in mind, I'm quite certain that "crushing Rolf's apples" doesn't mean what they think it means.

  • In "Ready, Set... Ed" Kevin asks whether the Eds' rocket car has knobs (somewhat outdated slang for breasts) while making a suggestive motion with his hands.
I've never once heard anyone call breasts "knobs," so I'm gonna toss this one into the "autists seeing shit that isn't there" pile.

  • It sure does look like Ed's having a lot of fun "riding" Jimmy's sand-unicorn in "Hot Buttered Ed"...
There's nothing remotely suggestive about that scene.

In "Is There an Ed in the House?" a sick Sarah asks Jimmy to fluff her pillow for her. And what does he ask her when he starts?
Jimmy: Am I a good fluffer, Sarah?
Sarah: Yes, you are Jimmy!
Again, most likely not intentional

  • What allowed Rolf to see the cupids in the same episode? Lemons.
For context, apparently "lemon" is spergese for "sexually explicit fanfiction." Because I'm sure that the writing staff is well-versed in this shit.

In the episode "High Heeled Ed", Ed (dressed up as an octopus) says this line:
Ed: I am an Ed-o-pus, because I'm Ed!
  • This is a reference to Oedipus (pronounced "Ed-oh-puss", depending where you're fromnote ), a character in Greek mythology who killed his father and had sex with his mother. So if you ever said "I am Ed-o-pus!" as a kid, that means the writers tricked you into saying "I want to commit murder and incest!"

There's more on there, that's just all I really care to list.

There's more stretching going on in there than a fat chick's skinny jeans.

I don't know if it's still there or not, and I'm too lazy to check, but I remember that the "WMG" page for Ed Edd 'n' Eddy at one point had speculation that Eddy had been sexually abused by his brother based on a few throwaway lines.

The weirdest thing to me is how tropers treat Ed Edd 'n' Eddy as something serious when the show very rarely took itself seriously. The YMMV page is full of shipping tropes and making up sad stuff about the characters. For a show with practically zero character depth.

Honestly it was probably the Dethroning Moment of Suck and the EEnE YMMV pages that made me realize how autistic the site was.

Decided to go to the EEnE WMG page after all. And the rape speculation is still there:

Here are a few more gems from that page:

Or maybe the site is just filled with dumb aspies who pull shit like this out of their asses. Just a hunch.

When your theories are so retarded that even Tropers start calling you out, maybe it's time to re-evaluate your life...

There's just so much to love about this one. From the fact that it sparks a fucking argument to the assertion that Rolf embodies gluttony because he "occasionally eats meat and even has a personal meat locker." And the other person just spergs about his fucking nutritional needs. Also, they don't even include all the characters.

They really love the idea of the show crossing over with The Simpsons:

Fuck off...

The inanimate piece of wood with a face drawn on it is trans.

I got about halfway down the page and decided I'd read enough.

Is that creepypasta fail theory on how Cul-de-Sac is actually purgatory and the characters are souls being purified around the WMG for this thing?

I mean, creepypasta writers have some nonsensical shit about "lost episodes" and [INSERT CHARACTER HERE] suicide stuff. And since tropers seems to have a boner for it...

Speaking of WMG bullshit:

Tropers took two ninja characters that look very similar to each other (Strider Hiryu, a character who appears in Marvel vs. Capcom and Bakuryu, a teenager who can transform into a fucking giant mole), and went on with this.

Actually, yes, that's on there.

I remember hearing this theory on Cracked years ago. I thought it was just as stupid back then too. Seriously, what is it about Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy that attracts these stupid crackpot theories and ruminations? I watched it as a kid and I never picked up on any deeper meaning besides the occasional dirty magazine joke.

I thought it was officially settled that Ed Edd and Eddy was a parody of different cultural archetypes from the very beginning? What kind of recycled nonsense is this? :autism:

In all honesty what line did Haruhi Suzumiya drop to make these spergs draw a line for everything going back to them?

These people give fans of shows any show a bad name. When did making up theories about shows/movies become so popular? And what are these people taking?I mean what kind of medication are they using?Because you probably need to take something to come up with some of this stuff.
