Does anyone have a better name for this trope that I can put on ATT? Just wondering
I think it falls pretty neatly under Did Not Do The Research.

Apparently DNDTR is basically just a category for a bunch of tropes involve writing fuck-ups which CBAHC is already under. Sometimes the restraints that the forked content puts you under is really fucking annoying.I think it falls pretty neatly under Did Not Do The Research.

The best I can come up with is Pop Culture Callow? Even that's admitably shit.
EDIT: another user on ATT suggested Media Research Failure. that any good?
Media Research Failure sounds the least autistic if you ask me.
I may have mentioned this before, but another one is "The LLibby", which is their name for the "bitchy head cheerleader" character. They named it after the one from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It's utterly ridiculous - if you have to have a reference, call it "The Mean Girl" or something that doesn't require deep lore knowledge for a dumb Archie Comics adaptation. It's like it's not enough they make some reference to a show they like. It has to be the most oblique and unintuitive reference they can manage.
"Cowboy Bebop At His Computer" is a great example. What the hell does this even mean?
holy carp lois

IIRC they changed that to "Alpha Bitch" which is probably more descriptive than the original name, albeit not as universal as "the mean girl"

This has to be the reason Bonnie is permanently pregnant. Because pregnant women are hot.
And it's entirely possible that Peter has a cuckold fetish, as he was seriously juiced to find out Lois used to be a KISS groupie, and Brian has hinted that Lois hasn't even been faithful in marriage.
Oh so he's like the people who wrote this. Except he can't have sex 'cause he's paralyzed, not cause he's a fat autist who lives in the basement. This troper is fairly certain someone has the hots for Joe. A well-built, good looking man in a wheelchair. And the fact that he can't have sex undoubtedly sets off a few eunuch fetishists.

I think Bonnie got pregnant before Joe got paralyzed. I don't know though. I'm not a fat autist. Can't Joe have sex though? Or is Bonnie pregnant with the product of an affair?
At least have your fetish match Family Guy's deep lore, fam.
The story is that some newspaper/magazine had a caption of that anime, with a character (the protagonist?) using a computer. Given the anime is called "Cowboy Bebop", they thought this was the character's name."Cowboy Bebop At His Computer" is a great example. What the hell does this even mean?
Please tell me they don't think Whedon is bigger than Shakespeare.Surprised they didn't call it "The Cordelia" because, you know, it all started with Buffy fans.
I played JumpStart as a little kid, and it's OK to love a fictional character when you're young, but as an adult, it's very, very odd.
Half of the Western Animation section of that page is a list advertisting other wonderful tropes with such names as All Animation is Disney and All Adult Animation Is South Park.http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SmallReferencePools
If anyone thinks TV Tropes isn't filled with hipsters, show them this. They think Golden Axe is "too mainstream", for one thing.
