TV Tropes seems to be the only ones who actually like The Acolyte.

MauLer and crew had an extended rant about this but the question remains: WHAT did the Jedi do wrong? As numerous reviewers and watchers have pointed out, the "other view" episode just shows the Jedi as completely justified in their actions. Like how did they fail themselves and others? Yeah the show WANTS you to see it that way, just like some shows and movies want you to see Sarah Jessica Parker as a beautiful woman - that doesn't make it true.

That nigga wrote all that to say absolutely nothing. Between George Lucas and these cunts running the show now, it seems no one actually knows how to write the Jedi failing. Just keep telling us it happened and the stupid among us will believe it.

Way back in the days before TVTropes, there was Jabootu who had his own lexicon...
Informed Attributes (n): When a character displays a mediocre or even inept level of skill in some discipline (anything from dancing to writing to fighting), yet we are shown other characters lauding their talents. This is to signal the audience that, at least in the universe presented in the film, these people are to be considered as highly proficient at their craft, however much this belies the evidence of our eyes and/or ears. EXAMPLE: When we watch actor ‘Frankie Fane’ chew up the scenery in The Oscar, yet learn through dialog that his performance was considered to be skilled. Informed Attributes can also pertain to non-apparent character traits, as when one character notes another’s purportedly high intelligence or sexual magnetism.
I am now curious if that trope is still on the site or if it has been removed for being "too mean" or something towards people's writings.

The SBIH Webcomics page is now completely gone

They still have webcomics on the SBIH page, they just moved them to the comic strips section, but even then, they removed every webcomic listed on the original page except for 2.
