At some point, there was a lot of overlap between TVTropes and Tumblr due to fandom shit, when Tumblr was at its prime in degeneracy. So that was woke directly injected on the carotid artery.

I remember Knife Nut used to be for characters who practically fetishized knives and were almost never seen without one. I guess an example could be Majima from the Yakuza series although he's known for being a psycho with a knife as well as an aluminum baseball bat. I think eventually these weapon based tropes just got overrun with retards who would list EVERY time one of their favorite characters from one of their favorite slop-fests even looked at a knife.

So of course the lazy and authoritarian solution the mods come up with anytime this sort of thing happens is to delete the trope or consolidate a bunch of tropes together instead of, you know, organizing a mass clean-up of the trope page instead. Which many autists would VOLUNTEER for, might I add! It's just pathetic at this point, even if you weren't one of the losers infesting the forums, why even stick around on the actual trope pages at this point? Your edits can just be deleted at a whim or mashed together with some other retarded ones.

One time, I made an edit for Mechagodzilla in the new terrible 'Zilla movies for World's Strongest Man right when it had came out. The logic was basic sp I said "This character beat up Godzilla, therefore he's the strongest" and left it at that. A year later, I checked back in and saw it was gone. Then I went through History and I saw the odyssey that my edit had taken. Some guy heavily what I had wrote, added shit like "Subverted" and "Downplayed" and kept tampering with it. Eventually it got so far away from the initial description that some third guy wiped it entirely and putting it back would be edit warring. That's why I try to stay away from really popular pages (especially Star Wars): Some spastic is always waiting in the wings to sabotage perfectly good edits because they don't know what words mean.

I was looking through that Edit Warring thread and I think it is so funny how even when they're discussing a fundamental problem with the site, it's still in this weird "This is the problem and here's what we're going to do about it" with no actual discussion or outside input allowed. Tropers hate having an open forum.
