Why am I not surprised. For those who haven’t been to the cinema recently (and I can perfectly understand why), the titular character is a robot who is designed to look like a little girl!!!
Not only is that retarded, it's entirely based on a lie. One article came out, claiming that the movie had a "queer fanbase" before it even came out. The article was 100% an advertisement trying to drum up interest in this awful looking movie.

So, they've decided to cut the "moments" subpages because their users talking about how awesome or sad a controversial book is counts as an clear indication that the site is actively promoting the author's viewpoints.

Or something. I really can't see how they're twisting themselves into an pretzel over an book that's around 8 years old. Aside from, you know, being SJWs

Give it ten years. Assuming TV Tropes is still around - which in all honesty may or may not happen given how quick the site is dying and how neglectful its admins are - maybe the jannies will spend the 2030s locking and nuking everything from the 2010s and earlier for being politically incorrect. Hey, it could happen.

What's not to say it'll get any worse than it is? Everyone who voluntarily quit editing (or was involuntarily forced out by the tyrannical modsquad) made a good choice.

So I was looking up some other works by the guy who did Chainsaw Man and TV Tropes is unfortunately one of the few sites with much info on the story he did called "Fire Punch" and...

FFS, Transgenderism is not a get-out-of-jail-free card!

I swear if someone could make a convincing argument that Hitler was actually transgender and lashing out that he couldn't be a woman they would start defending the guy.

Any of you ever run into a guy called AnoBakaDesu? I've seen him on dozens of different pages.. I swear the fucker follows me too and deletes my edits, always with some snide comment. Anyway, I finally PMed him to have a conversation about something he cut and he immediately starts this passive aggressive routine.

Why are tropers so defensive?

Considering mods can read PMs and he'll go crying to them once he sees your PM, you'll be brought before the Star Chamber (oh, sorry, I meant Edit Banned thread) in no time.
Yeah I considered that. I wouldn't be shocked if that happens, but I was hoping we could act like adults for a change. Silly me.

I hope this doesn't devolve into off topic metaphysical sperging, but I saw on the philosophy thread. troper saying how much he heckin loves science, cited Benjamin Libet's classic experiment as proof free will is a illusion, and sperged about ephiphenomenalism, yet he curiously omitted the fact that Libet argued for a conscious veto over actions.
For the heckin love science mindset Tropers have, they do not like looking up if the science actually supports their conclusions...

Every day of my life I am very grateful that I never became a part of this community when I started browsing TV Tropes back in 2014-2015.

Random shot of paranoia about an user who made quite an few controversial edits and being inactive while the purity spiral is going on

And while that guy is clearly waiting for an perfect chance to create an alt, the regulars want to sanitize the subpages of that Sinfest comic that they used to love so much.

They talk about him like he's some kind of criminal. Fucking hell, whatever edits he put in can't be that serious.

I do love the part where the one troper says "Could he be laying low" as if there's a wanting man hunt after him. They take this shit way to seriously.
