You know if you looked like Ethan Ralph you might be ashamed to be nude. If you looked like fucking Thor, you'd be like "yeah bitch I'm fuckin Thor feast your eyes, mortal!"
I wish it worked that way but it's tragically common to see dudes who look like Ralph (plus 6-12 inches) mowing their lawns wearing only shorts that don't fit. Nasty shit.

Fanservice should only be for good looking fit people.

Found another one in the wild. Some guy took issue with the medieval king not wanting to send women and little girls to fight an army of super soldiers in LOTR.

Every time I see more screenshots of TVTropes editors being stupid I feel more and more relieved that I was banned. Who knew acting like an idiot would be a blessing in disguise? The site's become a social justice blog in disguise.

It's pre-modern warfare, every male over 14 is liable to have to serve if the situation is desperate enough, and Helm's Deep was definitely a desperate defense. Conscripting women would be even worse, as then you have even more weak and untrained individuals alongside the risk of losing the ability to repopulate afterwards. There's a reason women didn’t go to battle before the rise of mechanized warfare, and why they still don’t go that often.

I read the image before what you said and assumed it would just be calling out the use of kids and the infirm for a battle they're not ready for. But nope, what about the womeeen???
At first I thought it was about being inclusive but no, the editor is just appalled at the idea of only men dying and the women "getting off easy". Tvtropes is incel central but they like to dress it up as feminism, because they're lying predators.

Emphasis on untrained. The women of Rohan are by and large just farmers and milkmaids. You want to put swords in their hands? What would they even accomplish? Eowyn is an exception, not the rule.

The double standard pages are incel hubs.

This was on a science fiction WMG, the hell
Damn, what kind of idiots don't understand metaphor and--

Oh. Right.

For clarification, they are not talking about economic philosophy, "the Invisible Hand" is the hypothetical reigning god of the capitalist faction, supposedly either a conglomerate of ancient investor robots, or a china brain running on trillions of interstellar market deals.
In.... what? Real life? That doesn't make it better.

Or other fans not acting the way they're "supposed to" (tropers hate other fans almost as much as they hate their dads)

I'd assume it's on the Orions Arm page, which is a 20 year old collaborative worldbuilding project that's basically a transhumanist space opera. I'd recommend it if you're interested in some really fucking weird vision of the future with shit like sentient fruit and AI vacuum cleaners fusing with robots and people to make new races all under the control of AI gods (like this one who is the god of libertarians).

TV Tropes is probably just there for the furries though.

yeah this is totally why people like Dark Side of the Moon
you mean it isn't why you like it?
I mean for me it's not the woman whaling her voice out for 5 minutes; not the fact that every song is seamlessly connected to each other sans the ending tracks to each side; not the psychedelic prog rock sound; not the fact it's fantastic on stereo speakers or better; not the fact

it's the fact that captalism and mental illness are bad!

Also I found this on the new Beavis and Butthead movie page
