The other day I was editing a wikia article of a fandom I am part of and honestly, it was so refreshing being in a normal place. There was no resident mentally ill weirdo with not life who is policing 24/7 an article he is obsessed with whenever someone make an edit on it.

Not any insane possessive weirdo with no life undoing my edits or policing my thoughts. or making a major fuzz about some minor issue. No people just using “tropes” as an excuse to virtue signal their politics. No bootlicking users just waiting on the slightest mistake to report it to the admins.

We all just contributed and that was it. Some guy just fixed some small format mistake , and that was it. And this is from a popular fandom with plenty of people.

I don’t miss tv tropes one bit. It was refreshing to contribute in a wiki that had normal people.

There has been some noting that children seem to be entering puberty earlier in more advanced societies. (Heck, I have a friend who's kid has hit 6 feet and he's only 11 or 12.) Whether it's a factor of improved nutrition or hormones in the environment is still up for debate last I saw.
