There were several entries in the Franchise Original Sin page that pointed out instances when feminist subtext went too far, which were now all deleted. The reason?

Apparently, all feminist subtext is good, regardless of how forced or one-sided it is.

You just made me remember how bad that movie was. Lando was genuinely in love with that fucking droid, which made no sense for the character, and the "droids' rights" thing was a dead ringer for woke causes. Also, Han's romance with Emilia Clarke's character was completely unneccessary due to the foregone conclusion of him ending up with Leia. There is a reason why I only watched that movie once and never touched it again.
You're braver than I. I only watched the trailer sync'd to the parody song "I'm Han Solo" from some Star Wars DDR parody and then decided it wasn't worth the time.

I wish it had been better, I liked Alden Ehrenreich in "Hail, Caesar!", but nothing about the film looked that interesting.

Terminator Woke Fate was a disaster from start to finish, from killing John Conner in favor of grrl-power wanking to making a point to depict border enforcement as evil, while the director made a point on shitting on classic fans that thought he was making a terrible story. That deserves to be called out, but we know that TVT thinks that Woke Fate was perfect and only hated by a few manbabies, just like the Star Wars Sequels.

I remember them declaring Lando, lady's man extraordinaire, was pansexual, the casting was generally iffy, the original script getting thrown out and revised multiple times through Kennedy's meddling, and the droid you were talking about (Honest-to-God named L3-37 like Leetspeak) was a "droid's right revolutionary," that was trying to get machines to revolt. It was dead in the water.
Too bad Billy Dee Williams is 85 or he'd kick their ass for calling him the lamest sort of faggot. They already tried to troon the poor dude out.

There is a reason I watched it zero times and never will. Seriously, this just goes to show the vacuousness of mindlessly retorting "dass wayciss" by shitty failures of creators who create nothing but garbage and ruin everything they touch. Lando was one of the most popular characters in the entire series, and got an entire series of novels just about him.

This just goes to show they don't just ruin things by "blackwashing" a white character, they ruin things by BEING SHIT AT THEIR CRAFT. Lando should be custom made for these people but they even fuck this up.

I may or may not know a guy with the rifftrax of solo... (the only way I watched it and tRoS)

Man tvtropes is one of my favorite time killers but the political bent is so obnoxious. Things that rub me the wrong way was Metokur's tvtropes page being removed because he's a "far right hate speech blah blah blah" when prior his page was actually a pretty fair summation of what his content was

and pretty much any entry that goes like this

The YMMV tab is downright insufferable nowadays
>HarsherInHindsight: Bob in Bob's Magic adventure coughs for 2 seconds in episode 10, which became harder to watch after the COVID pandemic

The funny thing about this is that Lando is a popular, well-beloved character. For over 30 years, nobody cared that he is black. Now you get badly-written characters who are "FEMALE!" and "BLACK!" and "QUEER!", and God help you if you criticize them because then you are a racist, sexist, queerphobic manbaby who just doesn't want the others to have their turn.

Just look at the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. All criticism of Rey (and the writing in general to be honest) was deflected with "YoU jUsT hAtE sTrOnG fEmALe ChArAcTeRs". Bullshit. The entire Sequel Trilogy felt like bad fanfiction brought to the silver screen.

And it's always these things where there are counter-example after counter-example of exactly these kinds of characters being incredibly popular, like Ripley in Alien, who was far from a stereotype. Or even Vasquez from Aliens. Who also had the best line in the movie. ("Have you ever been mistaken for a man?" "No. Have you?")

But no, they're brave and beautiful pioneers, these people who are shit at even portraying characters of their own demographic. Talent has gone out the window in favor of participation trophies for special snowflakes who don't try because why would they bother?

Fighteer sounds like the only person in existence who'd want to be Moviebob's best friend. He even tries to have the same ghastly opinions.

Speaking of Fighteer, I was reading over that old Stonetoss thread they had and I noticed something about him. He doesn't like to have debates or conversations, he likes to talk until he gets mildly annoyed and then he puts on his mod hat as a threat. It makes you wonder why he even bothers allowing "discussions" about sensitive topics when he declares himself the winner and bans whoever was opposed.

Edit: Oop, just did it again in the YouTube thread. Apparently we can't talk about Act Man anymore because we've "mined the argument out." Fuck that cocksucker.

"Hey! Did you know this show that you like has a TRANS character in it? That's like, so stunning and brave! This character must have so many fans despite appearing in only one episode, because traaaaaannnnns!"

The thing is I don't understand how said character could have fans. I didn't even realize a trannie character in the show until reading the TV Tropes ymmv.
