I hope this hasn't been brought up before, but I was going through this page
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SignatureScene
and you know, I'm kinda wondering if anyone on tvtropes actually reads the actual description of the trope. As it says in the opening:

When you go to, let's say, the Live-action TV subpage, you'll see that while they do a fine enough job listing examples from older/less mainstream shows, they go completely off the rails with stuff like Capeshit, Dr Who, GoT and YA-lite shows. Take for instance this example from The Flash:
These are less "signature scenes aka things I should recognise even though I haven't seen a single minute of the show/I saw it years ago but this is the only part that stuck with me" and more "omg this shit was so COOL and had us talking about it on Tumblr that must mean it's memorable to everyone else!!!". Compare that to the entry for TOS:
That's it. Even before I started watching Star Trek, I knew these scenes from pop culture. That's what the entires should look like, not a user just adding random shit and not thinking if your average casual TV watcher would actually recognise these through having seen them from something else.
You know, not everyone talked about those scenes from The Flash. The person who posted that was probably a major fan of it and listed all of their favorite parts of the show.

NPC Tropers talk about the bombs that were sent to Democrats:

The entire site might as well be called NPCtropes because it's a goddamn hivemind in there.

Well, the whole site is devoted to finding and labeling repetitive patterns in low-/middle-brow fiction, then using those labels over and over again to make you feel both smarter and part of the smart crowd, all without do much actual work.

It was destined to be a NPC hive.

That, and listing all the things that turned you on while watching Paw Patrol, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Dora the Explorer as a 30 year old autistic manchild.

And every single Channel Awesome alum, along with Bob "Gas the Midwest" Chipman, and Inflatobear.
