I played it for a week a few months ago and enjoyed all the changes they made for the most part (why make wailing caverns even longer??). Sad to see it go since it was the direction Blizzard should have gone with the game.

I saw a video of the last moments before the server shutdown.

"What you faggots gonna do? Ban me?"

Another video caught my eye as well. I assume the video hit my recommended feed since I watch Steam Deck related videos and Turtle Wow likely had a higher number of searches:

This scholarly gentleman doxed his own name in his second video.

Anyways, Mr. Joshua Hodges is a video gaming enthusiast who enjoys leisurely solo, self hosted MMO sessions to wind down at the end of the day. He has four children and a loving wife that's willing to be a tripod for his Steam Deck related tutorials. I'm bringing this guy up because he has a script and guide on github "so dumb, a caveman could do it" that installs, compiles and configures AzerothCore on Steam Decks.

If any of you play on Steam Deck and want to play some WotLK era solo WoW, he makes installation almost as easy as EmuDeck. I know it doesn't replace Turtle WoW but it's a thing that's there.
